After a daring stagecoach robbery, Ranger Jay Jones collapses in the station doorway and reports his partner Jim Powers has been shot. A rescue party, including Lee Evans, locates the fatally wounded Ranger in a cabin. As he dies, Powers tells Lee when they find a woman named Mitzi, they will find the killer.

I have never seen a Bob Steele movie. At least they road their own horses and actually traveled in the snow. What a joy to watch. Thank you.

@@PizzaFLIX This is the first Bob Steel movie (from his earlier period) that I recall seeing so much snow! As for Sheila, you are in for a treat if you continue tracking down his films. They are some of the very best.

Wow! Not only was this a great Bob Steele movie with a unique storyline, but it was actually one I had not seen. I have watched every old Western available on KZfaq, including every Bob Steele movie multiple times. Thank you for the pleasure of seeing a great Bob Steele movie. It was an unexpected and enjoyable break from the usual Western storylines.

So the question is, does anyone know if that was Bob Steele actually singing? It sounds like him, in the few times he sang in these movies.

I believe so. He sings in several of his earlier movies, and all the little details of his singing seem to match the image perfectly. The range of the singing voice also seems exactly where his speaking voice is, In some of these there seems to be too much matching of the character's personality to the singing voice to have been dubbed, and in one his guitar playing also seems genuine.

Simple formular. Good guy chases bad guys. One of the bad guys is his wayward criminal brother and his girlfriend and the other are desperadoes. In the end the wayward brother takes a bullet for his law abiding brother who single handedly kills the bad guys. The good guy wins his brothers girlfriend and she is forgiven of her criminal associations and crimes. Then they live happily ever after. Good matinee pizzaFlix.
