Trailmater Offroad Recovery

Trailmater Offroad Recovery

Күн бұрын

The participants of the OnX Build Challenge came back into town to retest their new builds on the Moab Rim Trail. So we decided to crash the party and take our 'stock' 78 chevy pickup up the trail behind them. We hung around at the back of the pack and had fun. We followed them up above the Z-Turn obstacle and then followed them back down. We got to help Rudy out when he broke his traction bar mount off and his Welder had died reattaching it, so we let him borrow our Premier Power Welder to finish the repair. We had a great time and wish all the participants the best of luck. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Great video! People don't understand that you can still wheel your 4x4 without lockers. It takes skill but can be done effectively. Lockers are like the easy button, but they will get you into places. Sometimes, you should not be LOL. I have many times, and I have no shame in my game when it comes to using my winch versus destroying my rig.

Just goes to show skill triumphs over technology. A skilled driver can get a stock rig as far or farther than an unskilled driver with a built rig but the cravat is that at some point the only way forward is to have options ie lockers ,bigger tires, stronger components and the skills to use them correctly.👍

Most really think a lift, lights, body accessories, and wheels/tires are the most important, but lockers, tires, and practice are really the most important. So many focus on building something that looks big and shiny like what’s in magazines and think that’s what a badass rig is.
