I'm also running the Vector across my dash; love that thing. One thing I did for power to accessories (e.g. phone, GPS, iPad, etc) is to run a USB hub up to the dash. This allows me to run short USB cables just for power as needed.

Hey Brad, I've been fumbling around with electronics during my off road adventures for years, and I have a box full of broken, shaky, and purchased but uninstalled device holders to show for it. But thanks to several yoo-toobers and especially thanks to you I just ordered a whole new "system" for Christmas. I got the JK Vector Off road cross bar, and some 67 designs mounts for the phone and some ram mount stuff and 67 designs components to mount my Samsung Tab A to the Cross bar. Like you I find all the current GPS based equipment, even the most expensive units designed for off road, lacking features and functionality and being incredibly behind the curve technologically speaking. Thanks for sharing your wisdom! Keep up the rockin video's. Hope to catch you in the Eastern Sierra sometime some!

Nice set-up you have there! After 13 years with my TJ, I'm still taking stuff out and putting other stuff in! I moved my HAM head unit to where you have your spod module. It's easier for me to glance up at the frequency and other info on the display, as opposed to at the lower part of the center-dash area. I also just re-installed a rear mini-trunk enclosure that secures to the interior across the rear wheel wells, and against the tailgate. I removed it about ten years ago and now I need it again. lol

Nice interior upgrades Brad. I recently switched over to CO2 as well for speed and ease but kept my ARB dual setup under the passenger’s seat as a backup. You know the old saying, two is one and one is none. I went with 2 ten pound tanks as my wife and I routinely go on week long trips and this will allow enough for those long trips. Mike

Nice video, you mention how the inserts into the top cut down on the heat and cold, but bot the noise. The only way to cut down on the noise is to insulate the interior sheet metal, floors, doors (skins and interior supports) Also wheel wells on the outside... Makes a huge difference.

Hey Brad just a thought that may help you with the decision of putting that slider in. The first time you almost roll, completely roll. Come across an obstacle that you have to hit because you either didn't see it or came up to fast on it. That cooler is gonna smash around and break a window or hit a passenger or the cooler just gets destroyed. With the slider you wont have to strap and unstrap every time you need to open it. It will be in one place and will be one less thing to worry about in the event of a mishap. Hope this helps.

Enjoyed your video Brad. I just wanted to let you know you need to do 1 thing that might save your life. IF you ever Roll your Jeep. You will want to either move your Seatbelt cutter OR Velcro it to the Console Lid or inside it. Reason; IF you roll it and you go to open it up...where is the knife going to when the console is opened-up? Out of the Console and on the roof or the door....And, You would be lucky to ever catch it when that happen's. Just an Tip is all.

Bartact makes a seatbelt wrap that has two straps on it. Great place to mount a seat belt cutter. In a roll over, it’s on your chest. If you can reach the seatbelt that needs cut, you can reach the tool.

Great video - Just found your series and had to laugh as most of interior mods were what I have just installed in my 2018 JKU recon. I though i was original, nothing like finding a youtube video explaining how to create your "creation" after the fact. I use the RAM mount claws on the vector bar to move things around easier, and ran SOOW 14-2 cable on the outlet of my inverter to supply 12V and 120v to back of my jeep under the paneling. My small inverter (800w non true sine) is mounted below the glove box and is routed through the foam filled hole with 2 GA 40 strand cable with 120 amp waterproof breaker at battery (30 bucks). My cheaper version of s pod (rugged ridge) I cut the plugs, waterproofed splices using SOOW 14-2 cords (made better harness) to control pillar lights , aux 12v and 120 to front and back for a nice clean pro set up. the cable was cheaper (.92 cents/foot) than going to autozone and buying 1 of 2 stands of 14 gauge generic wire and saved me from making a harness - plus with a little soapy water, I was able to pull 4 cables through the foam filled holes (which I filled with "Great Stuff fireblock and grommeted ) and around the lip easily - and it is waterproof, and is rated for 600v. I would recommend you relocate that inverter right away under your seat in case it rains or area gets wet for a small one you mount under the metal bracket below the glove box - and have a nice access to run it through panels or into dash easily and neatly plus if you have big hands and fat fingers - it is an easy install for a novice . I really enjoy your series and look forward to your other videos in the future.
