Its alot more difficult on harder difficulties. On normal its pretty easy since your party is stacked at this point in the game in terms of quartz and levels

Plot wise I don't think Arianrhod and Mcburn was taking the fight that seriously too.

More health doesnt always mean harder difficulty. Too much health for Bosses can end up in annoying and boring gameplay. They put up a good fight on nightmare if you haven‘t grinded too much, without using orders and items. A lot of tactical placement and switching members is required to win this battle

a bit late, but you do forget gaius is a dominion now, and he was obviously holding back before the cutscene after the fight, which is why everyone was suprised all of a sudden when the stigma became much more prominent

That's still B.S though. No way they still should have beaten them, at the very least someone should have died or been seriously injured.

i think you underestimated the power of a diminion, they may not win, but i am sure they can keep them sitting there long enough to make it pointless to continue, the stigma is more than just a fashion accessory, and as you can tell emma's magic is strong enough to impede their movements so all they gotta do is keep going until the final battle is done

kickerbs in theory that should make sense, but it still doesn't sit well with me a bunch of young adults beat 2 S class fighters. But oh well, what can ya do.
