I got a set like this not too long ago, but it had gondolas instead of passenger cars. It is exactly HO gauge so it can be used to check your rails without having to power them.

Hi Peter, yes it's a perfect set for the young ones. It's surprisingly good quality and the packaging is very nice too. Should definitely be tested and well run in first ;) All the best mate....Tom

just had to thank you Tom !!! just picked up TWO of these sets..the one in the video..and another similar one...FOR £2.50..at my local charity shop...it was half price day, so i got the two for £2.50 !!! i only recognised them because i follow your channel !! my grandson is in for a treat,..thanks again Tom all the best,dave

I'm actually having a great time with these myself...lol. I've built a small layout using 2 sets that I'm using as a practise layout for all manner of modelling. I'm enjoying chopping them up too..lol. More on this soon. Thanks again Dave :))

@@tomjenssen7486 its thanks to you my friend that i immediately recognised them!...it was half price day at the charity shop,hence 2 for £2.50!!..tested today, both in perfect working condition including the light!...one is the set you showed with the two coaches and the other is freight with a coal wagon,a tanker,and a wagon with three logs..! cheers,dave

Hi Tom. Great video you keep fining these great little sets, this would be an amazing starter set for kid to see if they wanted to get into the world of model trains not to expensive so if its not for them you have not gone to any great expense. But what kid wouldn't love it. Regards George.....

Hi Nathan, I think the loco and tender are close to HO...I'm not sure about the coaches. I've started conversion work on the one from the previous video and it's looking good. I've also weathered the plastic track and it looks great. Toy train layout coming soon :D Have an awesome day too my friend. Tom

Yes, and the molding of the body shell is surprisingly good.

Might be a nice cheap Santa Express for Christmas with a quick spray of paint and if the little kids break it - who cares :)
