Nice race as always Oliver. Sorry to hear about that spot, hope it feels better soon. I agree that I would love to see more diesel races, specifically different countries going at it, like a SD40-2 vs a class 37, maybe? Just an example of what I mean.

It’s Ben W again. Flying Scotsman was built for speed too. 100 miles per hour is very fast for a non-streamlined nearly 100-year-old steam train.

I have somewhat of a different idea. A double header race. UP New Big Boy (4014) and the UP Challenger VS Mallard and The Flying Scotsman. If you see this thank you for reading it Keep up the good work Oliver.

You can take a break Oliver and when the pain is starting to stop you can make a new video so when pain is finished or something then you can do a new video or something if u want but yeah u know

I wonder what would happen if these steamers went up against each other with a full rake of carriages (like 10 to 14 of them) and see how they fair and prove what steamer is the ultimate express engine! The added weight of the consist could create an interesting dynamic… as it isn’t just about speed in my idea. It also shows the raw power of the engine!

Reminds of me of Scotsman Mallard race you did 4 years ago. Except, Scotsman had an extra tender and her most iconic livery. This time Bittern’s got the extra tender. Also, can you do more speed tests? You’ve been doing a lot of races in a row and I’m starting to get a bit bored.(Not that I’ll unsubscribe)

Flying Scotsman was built for speed, as well as the A4’s but they were given their streamlined appearance to look more appealing to the public eye, same goes for the coronation’s.

Why didn't you put the flying Scotsman with two tenders? Bittern went faster because she could push more water and go faster at higher speed programmed.
