An update and patch for the recently released Beansniff SD40-2 bundle from Searchlight Simulations fixing some bugs, altering sound levels, cleaning up textures as well as a brand-new livery for the old gal featuring a K3LA.
Also, freight pack 02 saw some updates correcting the drag on the Gunderson 4250 which would cause a derail and fixing the early ATSF waffle car not appearing as well as adjusting audio levels and offering 2 options for the aforementioned.

The effort they put into their addons is definitely evident in their released work. It'll be a nice addition to my TS library.

A grown man in a Barbie's Hot Wheel car! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've been looking everywhere for that asset. lol. The sounds are some of the best I've heard in TS. I wish everything sounded this good.

They're going head 2 head with rr_mods with the rolling stock. Being that jr is free you have to give it to them on that alone.

Most of the audio popping and cut in/out is mostly core game engine audio bugs.

Hey there! Not sure if anyone will see this, but when I bought this pack a while ago, it showed a "Missing serial" screen. It still shows it to this day, and yes i have installed the patch. Im not sure if i need to contact SS on the issue, and idk if i missed something when installing it. Do i need to reinstall the pack? Please let me know, if anyone reads. Thanks!

Theres a bunch of old asshats that rule the roost over there always stirring shit up if someone doesn't share their antiquated views on TS. Woody and Kevin just don't wana be a part of it any longer I assume. Alot of ppl have distanced themselves from rwa because of this. Shame too considering its history, but even Rome didnt last forever

I updated to windows 11 and my game works fine except I can’t hear engine sounds unless I’m looking at the engine. It’s not game breaking but annoying. So I guess watch out for that if your updating to Windows 11

I had the same issue when i got my new pc last yr. I cant recall what did it, i may have deleted and reinstalled realtek drivers or somthing. I have to mess with thr sys audio default options. Its a pain i know, sound is huge when it comes to TS. Hope you can get it corrected 👍

Believe you just slide the assets folder in your railworks and itll overwrite

I only have that but for like a year they havent fixed it, for me the sound is cutting out always :(, so it is a waste (as of now)

@@rbd6039 Been there, done that -- they're completely unmoved it seems I wrote them dang near a year ago about that issue. I was using it Ok before the newest one, now I can't access for whatever reason -- like I lost my credentials for it. 👎

@@Tamburello_1994 getting the code reupped is a simple email away to support. As for the patch to fix the sounds, part of the fixes are part of the BNSF pack. Aforementioned fixes will be put into the BN pack

Train Sim 2022 players when they see 10 year old Jointed Rail models from Trainz 12: 2:14 3:10 3:22 God, you know you're starved for good content when stuff that's literally been on the market since 2012 absolutely blows everything out of the water just by switching games... really shows the difference in quality between, let's be honest, most railworks content, versus a LOT of the things being made for Trainz. Like... if Steve Lerro at K&L could somehow find a way to port even 10% of his more recent engines... they'd immediately meet, and then exceed the current standard for steam set by Smokebox, it's seriously kind of astonishing how many extremely high quality locomotives there are now for Trainz, like, everything from every 3rd, 2nd and 1st party creator for steam on Railworks would make up maybe two pages on a Trainz 3p store... and this isn't a dig at railworks, TS has an equally amazing library of routes. It's just unfortunate that the sim with all the nice engines(TRS19) and the sim with all the nice routes(TS2022) have absolutely no cross-compatibility, so we could maybe, you know... run the nice engines on the nice routes for a change.

@Nadisan They're not, don't assume, I own products in both games and I can assure you Trainz payware runs circles around the VAST majority of TS content. JR and Searchlight specifically have very little distinguishing them in terms of quality, JR uses searchlight sounds on their Trainz stuff and Searchlight uses JR models on their TS stuff, giving both communities the best of both worlds. In terms of functionality, yes TS has a slight edge in terms of how many switches in the cab you can interact with, but in terms of the actual realism of the operation of the locomotive, both are about the same. They use the same sounds and models, and both JR and Searchlight scripts are extremely complex and realistic for their respective simulators. I should be clear, Jointed Rail in my opinion is the pinnacle of simulator quality in today's market, so searchlight content being on par with them quality wise is absolutely NOT a dig. I just find it cute how the TS community think these are the greatest things ever, when JR makes stuff this quality every couple weeks.

@Nadisan personally I find the driving experience in TS more enjoyable than Trainz, the interiors tend to be scripted a lot more(with a few notable exceptions of the opposite) and while the locomotive power, coupler slack, and train weights may be totally off sometimes, while Trainz doesn't have as much of an issue with that... It still somehow feels like a more immersive experience. None of this is to dig at SS or JR, both halves of the team are singlehandedly ushering both sims into a new and unprecedented era of realism. It's just funny to me how locomotives that the Trainz community would probably consider to be, "just another JR release" are totally blowing the Railworks community away. Like, again, we had these models back in TS12, and yes they're updated. But, I still can't unsee the 2013 source models when I look at them. Wait til you guys see the tunnel motors they're porting, those things are gonna blow you away.
