They've also released the all new massive 'freight pack 02' with dozens and dozens of freight cars - for free.
Some of the best content in TS for North American stock resides within these 2 packs... hands down.

After getting this, I can't drive that crappy SD40T-2 from Mt Shasta route, I replaced driveable loco in scenarios with Searchlight BNSF SD40-2, although it is not historically accurate

Audio package for SD40-2 is the best ever exist in TS. It has many nuances, turbines, bass kick on notches 7-8, increased engine volume when you open windows and doors

The sidewall heater is that baseboard element they don’t make noise. But good god do they stink when you turn them on the first cold day of the season lol

Interesting detail , BNSF H1 unit has AESS (automatic start/stop) function and engine goes off in 2 min, when locomotive is idling and reverser is in neutral position. green ex-BN units dont have such function.

the sd45s were having lots of crankshaft failures bc if the 20-645 prime movers and used way more fuel just for an extra 600hp

You can't 'wish' them on your PC You can buy them although on Searchlight Simulations website

Nice vid! I am considering buying that loco, only concern that "run" and "joint" sounds kind of missing even on this masterpiece. Running over the switch makes noise in reality.

It’s not missing, they are simulated as well. Same with rail groan when you start moving like the real thing

I've bought the NS / Conrail bundle after watching your UP vid recently. I see the insttrument dials light up in this new model, do they light up in the other SD40 packs too ? I can't seem to get them to light up and there's no mention in the manual which is a shame given that one of the included scenarios in the NS bundle is a night time one. I enjoy your vids by the way and they are my goto resource when it comes to buying US addons. (I'm UK based).

Powder River Basin on Railworks America by a fella named Tomcat. It is an astounding route for BN/SF and UP. Its absolutely massive and well worth the handfull of requirements (not too many, about 4 or 5)

@@schnauzahpowahz I hope so. Seems like they've got lots of awesome stuff in the works! Also I've been looking for one specific piece of rolling stock, a BNSF sand hopper. It's a 2-bay hopper with the H1 logo and I swear I CAN'T find it anywhere. It's kind of a light pinkish-salmon colored hopper, know what I mean?

Why does DTG kinda incosistent in the making of the detail of the train and it's sound, sometime good sometime weird. And this one are really good imo.

Apparently dtg has a bnsf license, and have for awhile. As far as SS and Dtg doin anything... thats a farts chance in a hurricane 😉

How do I install a pack just want to know before I spend money

Its listed in the manual. Fairly simple, you'll receive an executable (exe file) therein which you run it and it installs itself. Youll receive a seperate email with the serial key that you take and place within the file location, which again is laid out how in the readme/manual

Why does a lash up of 3 pulling a short train of 650 meters and all empty grain cars run fine for about a mile and a half and then quit? It goes into emergency all on it's own and shuts right down. I get it going again and about another mile or so it does it again. I'm not impressed with these at all so far if this keeps happening. I'd like to think it's my fault and i can correct it but it's not. I'm doing everything by the book. I believe they actually packed these things with too much and it affects the performance. Sometimes a little less is better.

Sounds like the alerter is getting you. Make sure you read the manual. Depending on loco, a box will have a blinking light/high pitch sound which youll need to clear w the Q key. Believe you can disable it with backspace key or something like that

@@schnauzahpowahz Ya I'm getting stressed out about it actually I haven't been able to go more than a mile or so 5 times even with just locos pulling no loads. They're great looking and sounding as long as i'm not operating them and that's not worth the price nor what i intended to get from them. Every other SD40-2 set works but these. My next step is to get a priest and bless them maybe that'll work.

I'm coming back to this 10 months later and I'm still having the same issues. It's never gotten any better and I've had ZERO help from Searchlight Simulations. It is the alerter and it kills my experience every time I try to use these even after I disable it. These are in my dead line now and that's too bad I'd love to be able to use something I paid for and I fully expect the people I bought them from would answer my questions. They have never responded. That just sucks.

Sorry man but thems be the breaks. Youll need the serial key to use it on a total of 2 seperate devices. Best i could say is contact SLS and let them know
