Күн бұрынTrain Trip Report on the ZSSK Rychlik from Košice to Bratislava on a nice spring afternoon, which was my first trip after 3 months without travelling due to the COVID outbreak.
It was an absolutely different way of travelling but, actually, I felt very safe and comfortable. Everybody was respecting rules and distance. The services onboard the train were almost non-existent.

Great Video. It’s interesting to see how things were during the restrictions of COVID-19 on train/rail travel. Glad to see things are starting to pick up now.

Right now it's pretty similar to what you've seen on this video. Probably with more people and a restaurant car (which is the best of this train, for sure). Hopefully, we'll find a solution to the COVID... there are some vaccines that look promising in the short-term...

Thanks a lot, Michael!! Glad that you've enjoyed this Trip Report! I'm currently planning more train trip reports. This time focusing on the Polish High-Speed Trains. If I see that these train videos work well among the channel viewers, I will make them more frequently, always mixing them with airplane Trip Reports, of course, those are the core of the channel :) By the way, tomorrow we'll have a Vlog! Luton is about 45 minutes from my house with no traffic. But the motorway around Luton has a lot of traffic... What are you doing in England?

@@Ash-vm6vy well I make trip reports on my KZfaq channel sometimes and because not many airline fly to slovakia as go to London where there's a bigger range of destinations. For instance on the 21st of August I'm going to Croatia. And the Spain and all that but I tend to be at home in slovakia where I love it most

Muchas gracias! Es que este no es el Intercity, que tan sólo hace unas 5 paradas en todo el viaje. Tal y como digo en el vídeo, este tren es algo parecido a un Intercity pero con muchas más paradas. Saludos! :)

@@JimmyQY The problem with night-trains is that booking 1 compartment for me alone is pretty expensive... and right now, I don't feel "safe" sleeping with 2 people that I don't know in the same compartment (from a COVID perspective I mean). Let's see how we are in the next 3-4 months... for now, I'm planning some trips on the Polish high-speed trains for September :) By the way, years ago I took twice the Zemplin from Kosice to Bratislava :)

You should take next time train from Bratislava-Petržalka station to Wien hauptbahnhof it's Railjet train.

La verdad es que cuando subo un vídeo de trenes es siempre una incógnita sobre si funcionará bien o no, pues los espectadores de este canal están acostumbrados a ver aviones jeje Por suerte, suelen funcionar bastante bien :) Tengo planeado grabar entre 2 y 4 viajes más en tren antes del final de Septiembre. Yesterday i took a train from BL to Poprad at 22, 59. We arrived at 3,29 in Poprad.. Such a nice experience

Me encantan estos vídeos de trenes que aun mantienen la esencia de lo que era viajar en tren, esto en España se ha perdido hace tiempo y del catering mejor no hablar ni comparación con la que disfrutáis ahí eso si mucho AVE aunque sea deficitario el mantenimiento de sus líneas, mucho tiene que cambiar Renfe-Adif para que vuelva a tener ese espíritu del ferrocarril Español. Muchas gracias, Rafa! Me alegra que te haya gustado! Coincido totalmente en tu análisis. En España el tren ha cambiado todo por velocidad, que está muy bien, pero ha perdido totalmente su esencia. Prefiero siempre un tren que vaya a 200 km/h y tenga un servicio como los trenes de larga distancia que te encuentras por Europa, que un tren que vaya a 300 km/h en el que eso es el único atractivo... En fin... una pena... Tengo pensado grabar varios vídeos en trenes de alta velocidad de Polonia, que juntan lo mejor de todos estos trenes, con una buena velocidad (250 km/h creo que llegan a alcanzar). Espero ir subiéndolos a partir de Septiembre. Saludos! :)

The economy class compartments are alot better then the open space one I've been on this type of train before because I go to kosice every year

Yeah, well it depends on how many people would go on that compartment... I also did this trip many times, and during Corona times, I prefer an open carriage with better ventilation rather than 1 small compartment :)

Bonito video Lucas, ¿las imágenes que hiciste desde el coche de cola del tren, se ven a velocidad real? Da la sensación de circular a unos 200 kms/h

Muchas gracias, Mario! Pues algunas sí y otras no. En particular, una que está acelerada es la que comienza en el minuto 14:40 . Esa es acelerada y bastante. Me gustaba mucho el paisaje que grabé ahí y quería incluirlo todo lo posible. El único modo era acelerando el vídeo. El resto creo recordar que no estan aceleradas, y si lo están es muy poco. La velocidad máxima de este tren son 160 km/h. Saludos :)

Interesting train trip report. I was very surprised that you were able to open that door on the train even though there was no platform ? That would be a very serious health and safety concern in the UK if you were able to do that. Doors are automatically locked until the train arrives at the next station and then the conductor will open the doors depending on which side the platform is. The other side will then stay locked so this cannot happen.

no offence but health and safety in Uk is for everything, soon you will be informed all the time before you go to toilet how to use it and to prevent of any accident :D Other thing in Slovakia (czech and hungary ... poland) there is no fence by railway as in UK (other health and safety protection, same protection on bridges to prevent people jump from it :D ) All health and safety in Uk seems to be like for simple people with no brain. it is so funny. But as i said no offence. Different country - different rules.

@@ejo5336 You make a valid point about health and safety going too far in the UK, however there is a valid reason why doors are automatically locked on trains and it is to stop people from jumping from the train and killing themselves due to mental health problems, and this isn't funny. This is happening more and more on the railways so for this reason I support the locking of doors on trains until they have stopped.
