I am a very amateur enthusiast dating from the 1950s (yes I'm old) full of nostalgia for days gone by. However since finding your channel I have learned more of just what you drivers of today have to know and the way you explain these matters is easily digestible for an old fogey. Thank you.

I have to say that your videos stand out from many others because you take the time to explain what is going on as it actually happens. 👍Don't get me wrong, there are many other vlogs that provide relevant info but I think yours is one of a few to provide a truly "First Person (Real Time)View of freight movements" 👌 😉.

Avanti are getting Class 805 and 807s, the 805s are bi-modes and the 807s are electric only, without a backup diesel engine like the 801s have.

319s are currently used Blackpool North to Liverpool Lime St. (Sept 23). The comments are great and give real time insight into train operations.....thanks.

It used to be one in every 3 or 4 signals got an emergency replacement button, then it became all automatic signals in new projects, and in new resignalling projects all signals are controlled signals (but can be set to work automatically by the signaller).

Great insight, think that the Avanti Hitachi units are 805 series.

I believe the Avanti 800s are going to be 805s, and I could be wrong but they're getting an exclusive 7 car I believe

I don't think the 4th signal rule is true or not because my local line has 6 automatic signals in a row although they've been there since the 1980s so rules could of changed now
