Who knows, I think it's values and how dedicated we are to them (like marriage) regardless of what trails we go through that effects how we "feel". Values that give meaning to our suffering, discipline is simply how committed we are to the relationship.

Today is one of those days for me. I’m a para triathlete.. category P3. Today I have a sore chest muscle and my left arm really hurts. I keep coming up with excuses, but I’m dressed and my bags are packed and I’m ready to hit the pool and the gym. This was a great clip to see for me today. What’s always missed in these videos is that leading this type of life is not always the best path to happiness, at least not for everyone. To be the best at anything you have to sacrifice in all other areas of your life, often including relationships. People should think hard about whether that is worth it for them.
