Where I grew up, I had a neighbor who had a Wisteria vine growing up a pipe in their backyard. When it bloomed, the aroma was heavenly! This is one of my favorite memories of spring growing up.

Excellent tutorial. I have an Amethyst Wisteria and will put a large trellis in a specific place there but to see you grow yours in a pot is super helpful. Thanks

I so wish I could grow Wisteria to cover my patio roof, but I live in the desert of northern Nevada with high temperatures and horrendously strong winds. I do love the looks of the plant. Thank you for this information.

So I bought a blue moon wisteria tree... at least tree is what it said on the Etsy website. I read so many different things. Can you keep this in a container? If the roots will bust up a foundation as I read on one website how can you possibly keep it in a container?

Such a beautiful set up. I’ve been trying to buy wistaria seeds for quite a while now, and I’m having trouble germinating them seems like vendors are selling old seeds Over 30 seeds and not one germinated is there someone you can recommend me for seeds

I see you have a seating area underneath which is what I’d like to do, but I’m afraid to attract bees and cause a nuisance for folks sitting there. What is your experience?

Hello, I planted from seeds, but never flowers for 15 years! It died in the winter, back to life in spring. No flowers. Any suggestion, please! Thanks

Was it planted in full sun? It needs full sun and you should fertilize with a feed that contains more phosphorus than nitrogen to encourage flower growth. Planting with seeds does take wisteria longer to flower. Some folks use a grafted wisteria plant to see faster bloom development rather than wait years.

@@maryannehui ,,, it is in the pot with full sun all year round. Fertilized every four months, but nothing happened. Only leaves!

It might be getting too much nitrogen
