I think she did want to, which is why he felt confident being so persistent. I've said no to dudes that I like because I'm freaked out by the thought of committing and then having it not work out. Of course, there are way too many guys out there that don't know/care when a no really means NO. So in reality it's better to just ask once and then back off.

Ha! My ex-husband insisted we date, officially, despite me not being interested. I liked him as a friend and knew we weren't romantically compatible. I finally caved, because I wasn't dating anyone else and I liked his group of friends. Unfortunately, I also caved on marrying him even though I knew we really would be better off as friends. 2 years later, we divorced and finally decided on friendship a few months after. 20 years later, we're still good friends. Just because the scenario seems far-fetched doesn't mean it's unlikely.

Judd Apatow has directed 6 movies, as of this typing. The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Funny People, This is 40, this movie and The King of Staten Island. This movie is the only one of the bunch that he didn't have a credited hand in writing, with Amy Schumer being the only one.

I think with this movie she definitely wasnt terrible, but overall with stand-up and stuff her delivery just isn't good...I dont wanna make it seem like im pointing it all to "the man" or whatever, but i think part of it was definitely Apatow's directing...for me she just kinda flounders when she's on her own
