This is probably the best trainz video I've ever seen. The camera angles and the challenger saving a train at the end is the icing on the cake. But I'm still extremely sad over the fact that 3975 pushed Amtrak F40PH's into the water. I still don't like 3975 after maybe 5 years when I saw it the first time. The rusty engine coming at you in the dark is HAUNTING! Great video Man. Keep up the good Work!

So; I'm guessing that after 844 "saw" his buddy 3979 pushing stuff into the river; he told his diesel helpers "Hey! Back off; can you let us steamers talk?" Then they did just that, 3979 and 844, like the two old, wise engines they are, and then 3979 asked 844 why he didn't try and save him; and he answered that he did, but all that he was able to retrieve was his tender? And that that somehow put 3979's spirit to rest, letting it pass on?

but how it got a new tender if when it Fell in only the locomotive fell in but not the tender?? maybe it used a tender that got scraped or its it’s actual tender and was scrapped when 3975 fell in (even tho its number is 3979)

It couldn't save the Challenger anyway. An FEF cant pull a fully coaled and watered, fully operational, hanging off of a cliff Challenger. The FEF doesn't have enough horsepower. And the force of gravity on the Challenger sealed its fate anyway: the slightest pulling force from the train behind it and the coupler would break open.

The question that doesn't want to be silent: how did Challenger, after she died, managed to take the tender and when she fell, the tender stayed with the 844?

The tender is apart of their spirit. It either doesn’t matter the tender was still intact or their tender joined them after it was destroyed. Maybe the reason they didn’t come back sooner is because their tender hadn’t been destroyed yet due to it being forgotten on a siding or shed or whatever and it wasn’t until the tender was rusted or damaged enough for it to be considered destroyed.

But the 844 couldn't get the challenger up because the Challenger was to heavy and the coupleing thing uncoupled and the Challenger falled in the water.

Man I remember watch this when I was littel like 7 I got scare of this so much I had a nightmare of me being SP 4449 getting pushed off like these other trains and when I fell in I was bleeding oil? I don’t know why but that got my scared now 4 years later I’m watching it and not scared and I remember what I fool I was hahhaha Also the caboose is a SP caboose not a UP caboose

Savorypeas76 that’s not a Bigboy,that’s a Challenger,the biggest difference is that the Challenger is shorter than BigBoy and there’s other differences like the train numbers

@@MrTankThatStopped and a 4000 class is a big boy to tell atleast a difference is that the big boys where 133 feet while the challengers where 122 feet and the other differences is the UP logo in the front while the big boy UP logos where more lower fun fact crews named the challengers big boys littel brother or heavy challengers or jobumon challengers after there disgner otto jobumon witch did disgned the big boys also but the earlyer challengers where named feddar challengers witch where dsgned by arthur H. feddar

CA Peninsula Railfan Productions because when a steamer dies, it’s tender goes too, whether physically still there or not, the tender is talked back to the yard and scrapped, because it would be not right to have the ghost steamer kill another engine because the other loco is using its tender, as for 3975, it may have died but it tender even though saved, would be the only salvageable part of 3975 itself

its been a while but I remember how much of a pain it was to get these two. I got it on an Italian Trainz forum actually, trainzitalia ? Unfortunately it looks like the forums migrated onto a new site and the link I used long ago is dead. If you look around with that name I think you'll be able to find something though. Hopefully someone has posted it somewhere again. I wish you the best of luck.

At 2:21? I know this is a late reply, but it’s actually Sierra #34’s whistle, which has been used on the UP switchers (like the ones in this video) and on Clinchfield #311 (even though I don’t watch creepypasta videos)
