Back when the internet wasn't a gigantic artificial algorithm, when you used to actually visit websites instead of accessing them through jumpoff sites - the era before smartphones took over. I remember way back like maybe somewhere from 2009-2011, I wrote a youtube comment replying to someone saying "see you on the other side" talking about the future. Now, being on the other side I wish I could cross back over. We were living in valhalla and we didnt even know it. That being said, a lot of us got to experience the golden age of the internet. All of the younger kids will never get to experience that. We are very lucky that we got to be a part of and even contribute to the golden age of the internet. If you really think about it, the golden age wasnt caused by the internet itself, the golden age was US. We collectively were responsible for the golden age of the internet. Now that is pretty awesome if you ask me :D

144p did not exist back then as far as i can remember there were only three options 240p 360 and 480p

Ive been on youtube since about 2007 and I don't think youtube had a quality option initially. There was a parameter you could paste into the URL which forced youtube to show the "View in HD" option and forced HD. but then later it was integrated into the video player as simply an "HD" button (i think that referred to 720p videos) but then in 2011 youtube changed the player to the black/red one and I think between that and 2013 is when they introduced the ability to specify quality in terms of 240, 360, 480, 720, 1080. some time after that they introduced 144p as well. please correct me if you have any additional info

Back in the day I used to shut videos off just because they had this song. But now I miss this music being in every freaking video. I miss the lower standard for video making. Came back one year later. Now 16 years listening to a classic. I remember 16 years ago was the first time on KZfaq and joined KZfaq to be greeted with this song. Honestly, as much as it annoyed many of the OGs long ago, this song did not annoy me at all. It has that new future era rise feeling with world peace at last tone.
