I find this so disrespectful because. It was my dad who done the whole 90 minutes commentary an some no mark got the credit.i have the original on this game 🖕

I remember being in the Johnny king stand and clearly seeing stephen warnock handle it. i couldnt believe it wasnt a penalty and it all went wrong from there...if only....

haha when Allison scored "Chief Chief Chief Chief" Good cup runs but the tiredness was showing when it came to league matches and we got relegated. My first game was when we got back from 3-0 down against southampton..

the fixed match by the FA if Tranmere had beaten lfc they would of played Wycombe Wanderers in the Semi finals ...which would of meant a div 1 or div 2 team in the final ...

at 2-3 there were 2 penalty claims for tranmere turned down that were more of a penalty than liverpools.

i watched the game live in the pub and i said after 30 mins into the game lfc would win because the fa wanted a Arsenal v lfc final ...

As a Tranmere fan (coming from Liverpool) this was the season that we were relegated from The Championship ... if our focus from the League had NOT been diverted on to "The Cups" we would have survived relegation from The Championship into Division One. From that point I have always said That League Points Mean Prizes !!! The Cup Games are a Diversion .... We fell out of The Football League and fought our way Back to League One ... We should now consolidate our position for a period and then Look Up .... Lets learn from experience, and Not be Diverted by The Cup Games !!!.

David Cummings I think I can’t honestly agree with that. What is football without memories? We will always remember those great days of Everton away, Southampton at home etc and I wouldn’t swap them for the world

@@elmexingles What about Our Great Memories of getting to and staying in The Second Tier of The League system??? We had one year there in the 1920s and TEN Years from August 1991 to May 2001. I was there on that wonderful historic day at Wembley in 1991 ... all the years of hurt got the better of me and I sobbed with Joy and relief!. We established ourselves across the football nation being in the second tier (we nearly got to The Premiership as well) we lost our focus and lost our status in 2001 by getting relegated ... I thought Here we are again ... Back in the lower two divisions where we have spent most of our history ... and as you know it got worse!.

@@merseydave1 I was there too In 1991. I was there in 1989 too when we got promoted to the third. I was there too at the mercantile credit in 1988 and our win against Exeter to stay up in 1987. The cup runs in 90s/early 2000s are some of the best memories I have.

So....closet Manc or Blue nose? Can't see why a Tranmere fan would be so bitter...You know if you were all a bit less like this you might still get a few loans from us.
