@EDuGoIHuvvet2 жыл бұрын
@@JanieBee Right? Like, in most I've seen pre transition, I've actually been able to see that they actually look like they belong in the other gender. Can't really explain it and it may sound so weird, but sometimes you just see that something didn't go as planned as a fetus, and that they were really supposed to be the opposite, or non binary. (This may be long, so I apologize 😅 And if I word anything wrong, I also apologize. Absolutely do not want to offend anyone) For example, watching a season of Ru Paul's drag race, there was this queen (I think her stage name was peppermint?) that just gave such a strong happy and free feeling while in drag, in a way the others weren't. And she truly looked like a cis woman. Even out of drag "he" felt like a woman to me. "He" was just so beautiful and feminine, in a very natural way. The first time I saw "him" out of drag, I said "I bet everything that 'he' is really a woman. And a damn beautiful one at that." And lo and behold, at the last episode where they all met again and talked over the show, she did come out to them as a trans woman. It just makes me so happy to see people find their true self. Seeing someone finally happy and comfortable in themselves and their own bodies is one of the most beautiful things ever. And the new light in their eyes are just priceless! 🥰

By that token of broad and wild assumption, every single teenager that ever was, was in the wrong body.... Who _isn't_ uncomfortable?.. There must 10 people per generation who don't spend most of their time feeling and being awkward in their own skin and wondering if they missed a memo.
@marsyoutube2 жыл бұрын
@@lewis7515 that's probably true, I wouldn't know cause I'm trans and I know from my own experience that being trans feels like being in the wrong body. I don't know what cis teenagers feel, but from what I heard it's mostly being uncomfortable with your body which is different from being in the wrong body.
@lewis75152 жыл бұрын
@@marsyoutube The fact remains: practically no teenager is at peace in their own skin - and you can't say whether the inner discomfort felt on one declared basis, actually feels any materially different than the inner discomfort someone else feels on a different declared basis. You're not in any position to say with certainty, "it is different" - you don't speak for them: how could you possibly know?.. Where that leaves us is that it's really not possible to say that a teenager is specifically signalling their gender-anxiety, based only on their obvious personal discomfort. In the circumstances, it's ridiculous.

@big_tyler_m2 жыл бұрын
@Rino Di 80% is just not accurate at all
@big_tyler_m2 жыл бұрын
@Rino Di the statistics you saw were that 80% have considered suicide, and 42% have attempted. This is among transgender youths who have either not begun or are in the early stages of transition. There are studies that show that suicide rates drastically decrease after gender affirming care is provided to transgender individuals, whether that be hrt or top/bottom surgery. Gender affirming care is actually something that majorly helps transgender people to get over their gender dysphoria. Suicidal thoughts and actions stem from the stigma of being trans, not from being trans. Research has shown that there is a 60% decrease in moderate and severe depression in trans individuals who recieve gender affirming care. Additionally, there is a 73% decrease in suicidality in transgender youth who receive gender affirming care such as hormone replacement therapy. The high suicidality rate of transgender people isn't because of the transition, it's a multitude of other things, Including fear of retaliation, low employment rates for transgender individuals, barriers to appropriate healthcare, and transphobia (which I might add is not the fear of transgender people, but is instead a prejudice or disdain for them which is an extremely common thing in the united states). Transgender Individuals who have been the victims of harassment or discriminatory behavior have been seen to have a 30% increase in self injury behavior. The suicidality problem isn't a problem with them being trans, its a problem of them feeling like they're not going to be able to live happily the way they want to, be that because of regional laws, transphobic family or friends, being discriminated against, or even in some cases beaten and murdered, like is the case with the 50 transgender people who were killed as victims of hate crimes last year and the 20+ trans people who have been murdered this year.
@big_tyler_m2 жыл бұрын
@Rino Di Also, regarding what you said about "mutilating organs that control hormones," that actually isn't an issue at all, bottom surgery does remove the testicles for transgender females, which does drastically decrease the bodies production of testosterone, however, this doesnt really matter as all trans individuals who undergo bottom surgery are required to undergo at least one year of hormone replacement therapy before the surgery can take place, meaning that a trans male would have to be on testosterone for at least one year, and a trans female would have to be on estrogen (and also progesterone if they so choose as well) for at least one year. So after the bottom surgery, there really is not any noticeable change within hormones, as long as one sex hormone, be it estrogen/progesterone or testosterone over powers another, there should be no drastic changes in hormones after bottom surgery. Also, not every trans individual has access to bottom surgery, and many who do, choose not to get it. There are actually vastly more individuals who don't get the surgery as opposed to those who do. About only 7-13% of transgender females end up getting bottom surgery, so they are actually a very small minority in the grand scheme of things. Most transgender individuals only go as far as to begin hormone replacement therapy, which is seen to actually drastically reduce suicide rates among transgender individuals.

Before he transitioned he was a boy who is forced to be a girl, You can tell he was uncomfortable and depressed and he’s also talked about his struggle with depression and suicide because of his transness. Really he was a man dressing as a woman and pretending to be a woman. Would you rather him of stayed as a woman (pretending), And I’ve been so depressed he killed himself? Would that make YOU feel better? Have some fucking empathy. 60% of trans people Consider suicide before transitioning, 42% of them kill them selves. That goes down by 80% when they transition. I hope you find an outlet for your anger so that you don’t have to go on random peoples pages and hurt their feelings so that you feel better. I always used to have this internalised transphobic notion that whenever I saw trans people for a flash second I used to catogarise them in a binary based of bodily features, even though i myself am trans and struggle with other people doing that to me. I just saw your video and I saw those pre op pictures my mind did the same transphobic thing, but in reverse- "yeah,he's a man" was what I thought when I saw those pics, which made me realise that this is just a human fallacy that I can slowly train away from. You're an amazing man who has done amazing things for us. Keep up the good work ❤️

Hey, just know you're not alone in that. I've been slowly training the transphobia out of my brain too, but every now and then I still slip up. As long as you notice what you're doing and make an effort to try to correct it then you're taking a step in the right direction.

I've been struggling with that too, sadly, but I'm getting better every day and I'm very happy now because learning more has helped me see people for who they really are inside instead of just judging their looks. I am very happy when I see a person in public and I just think "That person seems cool" instead of "she looks cool" or "he looks cool"

yes and to get more into the habit of not gendering people before I know their gender I assign some of my plants they/them pronouns when I talk to them 😂 if you’re a crazy plant person like me maybe it’ll help

So this means before you ask somebody their name you need to ask what their gender is??? This world is going to s**t.
