I’m a trans woman myself and while I can understand the fear of telling someone your trans (hate crimes by men even when they know) it needs to be told if your going to engage in anything sexual or romantic, if he’s not accepting of it why waste either of your time? Their clearly not meant for you. When I went went completely open and told guys essentially straight up while I did have to deal with rejection and threats it did feel much more empowering and a lot of weight was taken off my shoulders and I found guys that were accepting from the beginning. It’s hard but worth it.

Consent has gone out the window for some of you. If you are a trans-man or trans-woman, you have to disclose that with the people you go to have relations with because they have to consent, especially if their assumption is that you are biologically of the opposite sex. This furthers that, because if these men did not know, and found out due to being exposed, and having a relationship with someone who has gone through this transition was not something they want, can you imagine how violated these men may feel. Women, who have gone through this, can you imagine how violated. Consent does not go out the window simply because you feel like it should, consent is needed from both people! Plus, why would you even want to have relations with someone who probably doesn’t even accept you? Why not just let someone know and have someone who’s okay with you as you are, rather than someone who is okay with you because of who they assume you are? You’re building a stigma, and potential hatred and that has the ability to grow into something dangerous. Y’all have to look at the bigger picture, not just the little box.

It is a joke until it happens to you or someone close to you. If trans women do not want to be seen as odd or not real women, then they would not do anything like this ever. To be honest if I meet what I think is a cis woman but is really a trans-woman, first if they are pre-op you need to tell me the moment the conversation goes beyond the normal pleasantries, if post-op I would still want to be told in the same time frame, but if you did not and things happen, and it was a one-night thing and I still did not know then why talk about it afterwards. I am assuming that a post-op trans-woman would look and feel the same as cis woman, just to be clear. I have never seen one to know if there is a difference. If I am totally unaware, then there is nothing to talk about. There is no reason to discuss it with anyone/ I would be clueless, and you should want to be me to remain that way, since you are not playing games, it was something that happened. If thing progress past a one-night thing you should let men know as soon as possible, at which point I will choose to not deal with you. Yes, the fact that you were born a man is a huge part of it but the fact that you tricked me on its own is more than enough for me not to want to deal with you. You lied and led me to believe you are something you are not. Playing the gotcha games and trying to expose people who do not know what is going on is dangerous.
