Malaysia once had two time zone. East Malaysia time was used to be 30 minutes ahead of Peninsular. On 1 Jan 1982, Peninsular time was adjusted to follow East Malaysia (UTC+8 hours). That's why Bobby couldn't get used to the bright sunlight in the early morning.
