Thanks for this! He was a hometown hero growing up in LA in the 70’s. We kids knew he had his troubles but we hung on every note. I was a kid. I wish I could go back and hear him live again with the level of appreciation I have now, and that he so richly deserves.

I've always liked the soft spoken jazz of Blue. What he did with the charts "Evergreen" and "Chameleon" was like none other. It's his CHOICE of notes, not how many!!! Like Urbie Green on "Uncle Albert". Just superb.
