How to calculate the propagation matrix for a layer of some thickness. The propagation matrix is one of the two matrices that allow us to calculate the Transfer Matrix for an optical structure, which is a (relatively) easy way of finding its reflectance and transmittance.

Can you direct me to where I can account for constructive/destructive interference because of the k1 d1 stuff? Does k0 influence k1 at all?

Sir, why do we assume complete ionization of donor energy level even if we know that when Ef will be closer to it, the probability of electron finding will increase?

Excellent question! As you pointed out, this becomes a worse and worse assumption as the doping increases, and strictly speaking it is only valid when the fermi level is far enough below the donor level (~3kT is usually used) so that the probability of finding an electron is low.

Thanks for clarifying, Sir. There was also a concept of impurity donor level which is formed where doping increases.
