I had some very good success with a gel plate, a maple leaf, several colours, fabric medium and some poly cotton fabric...There was no drying time in between so the process was very fast. I think I played for an hour and ended up with 18-20 very different but similar 6x5" scraps of fabric. The intent was to play and the cuts were rough so quilting them now will be a challenge because they are varied sizes, but honestly they are so beautiful. I will upload them to my channel once I get them quilted!!

I hope you found some! I am using all sorts of things. You can also try ballpoint pens or even very waxy pencils can work.

Both! Thank you for asking. I think the critical thing is the smoothness of the fabric surface. What it's made of is only an issue for me where practical textiles, quilts or clothing, are concerned. For my art piecesI use what I have. Also apologies for not responding sooner. KZfaq has not been showing me comments in my feed.😑
