I’m getting to know God but☝️is not a demonstration of tolerance and love. People say angry stupid things because they don’t know God yet but for you who does know God your words carry weight and can hurt even if it is unintentional. If pastor Rick is not affected by those words why are you.? Did he ask you to defend him? All Christians are told is to watch ourself don’t judge because we do not know people’s story, just love your neighbor as thyself. Since you like pastor Rick he as a sermon how to recognize Gods voice. Listen to it then re read your post and if it sits well with you then keep the post there. Dear Pastor Rick Warren, thank you for this sermon. I am a returning Christian with ADHD, and emotional management is one of my weaknesses. Ive been considering seeking counselling and guidance, but thank you for teaching me that God is ultimately the one in control. I love the name it, challenge it, channel it strategy, and although I'm not into the Bible, I'm going to be very interested to know that Psalms is a place I can start to reference in regulating my emotional wellbeing. I'm going to ask God everyday to fill me with his Holy Spirit so that He can keep my heart in check. Thank you Pastor.

I have listened to a lot of his teachings and this is always the case. Scripture is always used as the authority.

Quite Brilliant, Good common sense, very hard when your in a bad way, I get so frustrated with my emotions at times, and he has totally explained it. and how to name and deal with your emotions. huge pointers in the correct direction to go , and how to have self control. Its like a practical hands on approach to the bible teachings. This is what you do and how you do it. The old testament when i read it, alot of the time is quite a mystery to me, as its not fluent english. Thank God for Rick Warren and his other pastors, explaining the bible in this age, the here and now. Not just saying you must Trust in the God and love him. When you are in a bad way and nothing changes the pain etc, you need something more you need people and practical things to help. I love God and knows he is doing what is for the best for me. This hour of listening has so helped Thank You!

Its true, negative emotions whip me around. I go up and down. Joyce meyer always says stability is key to a good life. I pray that i’ll find it.

@@drewandcharlie7583 Joyce has put in alot to the life she has at the moment, disciple and holy spirit helps us with stability, and a good life, God will reveal to us individually how it is for on a daily basis, we all have different hearts and pasts. And stability is formed and development different measures. With Jesus, amen

I must say this is the first time that I've seen this and I must say it isn't a bad thing. This pastor is very different then most that I have seen like Francis Chan, Matt Chandler, Paul Washer. Emotions can become your God if you let them control you on the situations that matter especially for God's commandments and doing God's will that he has put into your heart.

I'm going to look for and listen to classes 101, 201, and 301. I've been listening to Pastor Rick for a couple of years now, but I'm out of the will of God in my marriage. He wants to move back in, and the Bible says I should let him. He's not changed at all. He's still someone who leads our half grown children and I away from God instead of towards Him. We are so unevenly yoked it not even funny. What was I thinking? Where do I go from here? I can't just throw away a 27 yr marriage.... can I? I've told him multiple times in the last 15 yrs that we need a strong man to lead us towards God. In return, he's told me he can't be that man. 😢 BTW I'm a know it all and he's a selfish man. I was raised in church, and he was raised to be obsessed with sex and money
