@Sparda G He did had the upper hand until Cade Yeager intervene and turn the tables on Lockdown with the help from Bumblebee, Tessa, and Shane. in fact Cade was planning to turn the tables on Lockdown in case he had the upper hand on Optimus but Attinger stopped him and thus prevented him from trying to turn the tables on Lockdown, but thanks to Optimus who killed Attinger and thus completing his vow to kill him, Cade finally got the chance he need to turn the tables on Lockdown.

Lockdown deserved a better death. He took down Ratchet and Prime from a distance, he killed that one whiny fool with a grenade, he had a weapon that magnetized all metal, he captured the Dinobots, and in his final fight, he timed his fall near perfect as possible to land without a scratch. And, how does he die? With Prime grabbing a sword and slicing his torso upwards. If he was as skilled of an assassin and bounty Hunter as intended (especially when he works directly for the Creators), he should’ve been equipped to stop humans, Bumblebee, and Optimus, heck, Megatron did all of that and some. If you compare Transformers to DC Comics, Lockdown seems like the Deathstroke of Transformers, unless he’s more like Deadshot, in which case then I understand.

? Lockdown was as straightforward as it came. Didn't run away, fought to the death, was almost always exclusively fighting solo, didn't pull any cheap tricks. Megatron was always sneaky, the fallen had everyone else do the work for him until optimus was gone, sentinel literally betrayed him. Lockdown was straightforward
