This video brings me nostalgia because back in the Micheal Bay era people complained about the designs, but I loved those designs because they were different and cool. But everything now is just g1 which to me seems kind of boring because it's the same thing over and over again.

At least the Bumblebee designs look better than most other designs since they tried to combine the G1 designs with realistic design of bayverse

Neat edit! I'm actually pretty excited for the new film since I grew up with Beast Wars. But yeah I don't understand why they all look like G1 in the new film. Wasn't expecting that at all since they looked updated in the other installments

Thanks! Don't get me wrong, I am definitely looking forward to it. I just feel like it's lacking so far, I mean we only have 4 Beast Wars characters so far, and not a hint of the Predacons. I dunno what it is with Hasbro now, everything is just some variation of G1 designs.

Already 5 Transformers films directed by Michael Bay and also when will we experience Transformers G1 in a live action movie? Everything has been answered in Bumblebee Movie, Come on man, just had 2 movies showing G1 aspects and you're already complaining?

@@travis_bickle922 You seem to not realize that literally 80% of the TF Community will complain about a show if it DOESN'T look like G1. Fans are just hungry for G1 based designs and whenever something new is attempted it most likely will get totally shunned out of the community's memories because they choose to not like anything G1-Like. All of these shoes recently focus way more on looking like a new G1 instead of trying something new, 2002-2017 were the times we were getting something different. They're hungry for nostalgia and just can't process something new.

Clicked on this expecting another edit that glorified G1 transformers and just ignored all the other amazing parts of the Transformers franchise like so much of the fandom does, but I was pleasently surprised! Glad you included the Michael Bay movie Transformer's designs as well! Say what you want about their stories (I personally get that they're simplistic but enjoy them for being silly action movie stories) but I feel that the designs are severely underrated. They could of just had a G1-esque design to them and it look all super cartoony, but the design team managed to completely overhaul their designs and at the same time make them look realistic and grounded for a live action adaptation.

Michael Bay movie designs are some of my favorite Transformers designs ever. Shockwave, Megatron, Optimus, Bumblebee, and so many others, most of my favorite designs for them come from the movies.

It seems wildly unlikely, even David Kaye himself when asked about it said "...Im just David Kaye. Let's put it that way" implying that the movie studio didn't offer him the role. They didn't get Garry Chalk for Optimus Primal, so David Kaye as Megatron doesn't seem likely.

It's time for the GeeWunners to shut up, even if they refuse to move on, that's gonna be their biggest loss and mistake of their lives. No more G1, no more "Ruined Forever", no more "Trukk not Munky". Time to turn this franchise around with new, creative and original ideas. If not, then this franchise is truly dead. Period.

I like the G1 designs for rise of the beasts and bumblebee movie I hope they still do that but I will miss the old designs but I think transformers prime Optimus prime design is amazing because that’s like G1 mixed with the bay verse mainly because of the colour but all I’m going to say is I do miss the old but I love the new more because I love G1 but I will obviously miss the bay movies and stuff oh and I love the terrorcons they look like the bay movies kinda with no colour like the bay movies but scourge in my opinion is the best transformers villain well he is my second because my first favourite is unicron

@@nicodamas1031while that is true, a franchise should be allowed to evolve into many different forms, if it only depends on old fans then that would cause a form of dissonance between the newer fans and the older fans. New fans want fresher and modern designs, while old fans want to stick with the classic and simple designs.

The best part is that on the surface, it may seem like a "kid's show" but when you realise that there were dudes in the show who could do interdimentional travel like Megatron X or Astrotrain and Wheeljack made a gun that could CREATE BLACKHOLES! Then they had the Mercenaries who could stop time Then we had Allspark Starscream which had infinite powers and could PULL the sparks out of a Cybertronian Then you realise that there was a War Titan- Iaconus in the show Then you realise that there were Quintessons as well It was really not a bad show by any metric It was just that the scripts were was to childish for a show of robots that had been at war for millions of years but still it was not that bad

G1 will always be iconic but if there's one thing that is annoying about it, it's that's it's over-saturated to shit now. Say what you will, but at least before this G1 craze, there was at least a variety of different interpretations during the 2000s and early 2010s. The Bay films had some very good designs for a film that interpreted transformers differently. TF2 and TF3 megatron looked so damn good.

I mean, I sorta enjoyed Earthspark more than both Cyberverse and G1 in my unpopular opinion because of the Terran characters which I thought were the coolest one in that series and I'm also looking foward to seeing Rise of the Beasts for the Maximals and Terrorcons more than the Autobots in the movie since I grew up with Beast Wars more than G1 but yeah I see your point since the truth is, not only it was Beast Wars that got me into the franchise in the first place? but it was also my favorite guilty pleasures such as the Unicron Trilogy,RID 2001,Beast Machines, the Bayverse movies,Animated, and Prime are what got me into the Transformers franchise in the first place as well lol.

I have no problem with G1 design as long as it's just influences, like for example Wheeljack should always have his g1 ears, optimus his window truck front and shockwave his one eye...

It's bout frieking time Yeah G1 did start the franchise, but not this point, we're just recycling G1 Imao, we should stop focusing on how the Transformers came into being There are way to many stories already created for it Imao, Hasbro should continue the Aligned Continuity and now that the war with the Decepticons is finally over, they can show Cybertron recovering and then trying to get back to the days of their former glory and try to restablish the Cybertronian Empire that was in place before the Great War We would LOVE to see the Cybertronians going colonising other worlds and rapidly developing their technologies, face other possible/hypothetical galactic powers and become a galactic dominator! Then we could probably make like crossovers with other such franchises like Star Wars for example Wouldn't it be so cool seeing the Galactic Empire go up against the Cybertronian Empire! How do you people rate this as a future for the Aligned Continuity?

Kinda disagree It would be more like from 2007-2014 During these years we had- Live-action movies- 1. Transformers(2007) 2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 3. Transformers: Dark of the Moon 4. Transformers: Age of Extinction Animated shows- 1. Transformers Animated 2. Transformers Prime 3. Transformers: Rescue Bots Games- 1. Transformers: War For Cybertron 2. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron I mean it was pretty much a golden age Everything started going downhill from AOE Imao, AOE isn't as bad as people really say It's literally the second most grossing transformers movie of all time Second to only DotM
