Lack of wrist rotation is definitely a common frustration with the line. After we got a few figures with fold-out wrists that also had rotation, I was hoping it would become a more common feature. At least his beast mode has weapon storage.

We literally have almost the whole entire cast of season 1 for beast wars, and we’re on the brink of wave four being revealed yet we still don’t have the kingdom Netflix trailer, cmon!

Honestly I actually like this! It looks fantastic and Rhinox is my favourite Maximal. I never had the T30 toy, and it's sadly overpriced online now

Wow, this Rhinox figure is great! And perhaps 3rd party companies make his gatling guns rotating and bigger in upcoming upgrade kits.

Rhinox is my favorite maximal I am getting this but am still disappointed they didn’t make him better, that wrist articulation is unforgivable. I am still cautiously optimistic about tigatron

The thrilling 30 one is still my favorite, however I will have to side with WFC rhinox only because of the tolerances on the joints, my thrilling 30 one is like a bag of bones

Rhinox is decent but I'm not a fan of the hollow parts and the way the legs look.

I think hasbro should have had the jaw flip around to make the underside cleaner instead of what they did

Looks good I have the t30 rhinox which definitely is the superior albeit with its own issues. I hope like all the other beast wars figures in this line a 3rd party will sell gap and hollow fillers. In addition bigger cannons. Also not having his iconic maximal head tattoos is a huge loss.

I feel salty that Dinobot wasn’t shown with the maximals. Only because he’s my second favorite Maximal. Obviously I’m not actually salty. But I’m hoping we do get the last two of the original 10 characters. We do just need Terrorsaur and Tarantulas.

As much as I respect some of the engineering decisions behind cheat pho-alt mode pieces, especially if it's in service of a cleaner Robot Mode, the fact that it's starting to become a regular thing for these figures kinda worries me a bit. Like, it was alright if it was just Optimus Prime's cab grill swiveling around for a slimmer one, but now we have stuff like the Earthrise Seekers' cockpit chests, Runabout and Runamuck's roof chests, and now Rhinox's mouth chest these waltzing in all fake and substituted and, I dunno. It kinda rubs me the wrong way. Part of the fun of a Transformer is seeing how the alt mode gets integrated into the robot mode and how that contributes to the character's overall design. These cheat-pieces kinda takes the fun out of things for me a bit. It's why shellformers are a major buzzkill to me as well.

I think the reason the weapons have no gimmicks is because why bother when they can have effect parts, which probably Rhinox guns can as well. As for the maximal tattoos, probably because that episode in which he is brainwashed and becomes a hardcore Predacon for a while, XD

Great review as always! This channel is one of my go-to's when I design. The detail on this figure is remarkable. I'm slightly disappointed I'm seemingly outshining Hasbro's engineering with Lego pieces though. Overall still a great figure I would love to own.

Thanks for this review mate. I tracked down the T30 last week and I’m afraid it knocks this one out of the water. Definitely keep your eyes peeled and you’ll find one for a great price. I paid 90 AUD loose with manual and guns. Also grabbed a Waspinator T30 and they did a great job with both. Edit: Christ that rear Beast mode transformation is tedious. Also the guns! I’d definitely like to see your take on a T30 mate. Definitely night and day. Still better than nothing at all for peeps that didn’t get a T30..

the answer to most of your questions is parts and cost creating a mold is expensive and everything has a max number of parts while it seems like it would be easy thats still more parts taking up more room on a sprue leading to also more assembly time more plastic used

LOL he looks like he has a pair of those handheld fans instead of actual weaponry. And why on earth couldn't they give him grey shoulder hinges for rhino mode?? Quite a weak release, specially compared to some of the amazing beast deluxes they released lately. Leg transformation is cool tho.

I'm Perfectly happy with my thrilling 30 figure. I can add paint apps if needed but this figure doesn't beg for me to update an already great figure.

I decided to pass on Kingdom Rhinox mainly because I have the thrilling 30 Rhinox. My biggest issue with this figure is the head. However what I hear this figure does better then that figure is standing and well. yep it's true.

I heard that kingdom will only have 6 episode. I’m wondering if the episodes will have a lot more packed in and feel rushed, or maybe the episodes will be longer.

I like how the chest piece and the legs are engineered, but they really could've made the gattling guns slightly bigger. It would make it looks MUCH better. And of course, the size...

I think we’ll be getting the rest of season 1 and maybe some season 2&3 characters in the rumoured golden disk collection.

I really wish they made an mp version of all the beqst wars characters, I currently have the ko mp megatron, dinobot, optimus primal, blackarachnia and regular King figures rat trap, blackarachnia and rhinox. Beast wars is still my favorite series of transformers I can't wait for the movie in 2023

why doesn't hasbro use the generations mould of the figure I think it was thrilling 30 or 35

Honestly I gotta say that after having this in hand and the generations figure, the generations figure is a little overrated. Is it good? Yeah absolutely, but I don't think it's much better than this one, if at all. The only things I think it does better are the spinning chain guns, the paints job on both the generations and henkei henkei version, and the head sculpt by only a little bit, neither heads are very accurate to the show. I think the engineering, anatomy and silhouette of the robot mode, and the rhino mode are all much better on the kingdom version.

I preordered it on hasbro pulse day one little bummed about not having any maximal symbols. But it’ll be the first rhinox in my collection so I’m excited

I STRUGGLED with getting him into Rhino mode. Finally I gave up and decided to try starting over and then I couldn't get his legs back to robot mode. It took me hours trying not to break it, so I don't think I'll be trying to go to rhino mode again any time soon.

The transformation looks really clever, but also looks like a bit of a nightmare in terms of lining things up. I'm not sure if I'll get him just because I'm not keen on Rhinox's design in general, but usually all I care about with Transfomers is if the transformation's fun. Everything else is kind of just a fiddle factor bonus XD

I have the thrilling thirty figure so going to pass on the kingdom but might pick up the mold if they do a transformers cybertron backstop selects repaint

I have both the Generation Rhinox and this Kingdom Rhinox, as solid as the kingdom Rhinox is but I really do not like Kingdom's transformation, I feel like struggling during transforming him. However, Gen Rhinox is much more simpler to transform BUT the joints are a bit loose for me but can be fixed with some nail polish and looks better.

I could choke down the price increase but at the same time Hasbro is raising prices they're cutting more corners, replacing pins with cheap looking mushroom pegs, removing hand swivels, hollow empty plastic everywhere and now they can't even be bothered to panel it off. This is after they shrunk the scale of the classes just a few years ago. Dang it hasbro I want to love you but you're making it so hard...

This figure is an easy pass for me, I'm sticking with my T-30 Rhinox

I think that they kinda scrapped his robot mode to give us this amazing rhino mode. And while I'm not complaining because it's a fair trade, it's kinda odd. Hasbro should prioritise the robot mode because I don't believe anyone displays their figures in their alt-mode, unless he is rich enough to buy 2 same figures and have one in each mode. They should compromise the rhino, just by a bit and invest its budget into poseability.
