Please do keep doing the reverse transformation segment. It’s really appreciated to see both versions of a transformation, since there’s often some difference between the two.

I'm really impressed with that jet mode. Usually jetformers have a really undesirably kibbly mess of an underside, but Skyquake has to have one of the cleanest jet modes I've ever seen.

This guy was made this faithful to the source material because of the huge backlash on Arcee and Bulkhead. And keep doing the reverse transformation, it is such a nice touch.

One of the most Underrated Decepticons throughout all of Transformers Prime but he's missing his Proximity Bombs.

Reversing transformation, in general, can be a really handy thing to refer to when you've got a new toy, or just dug out an old toy and literally forgotten what to do with it. :)

My only complaint is his wings in robot mode being Starscream-stylized, instead of a sort of jetpack storage. But even then, he look absolutely FANTASTIC!

This is just a sweet figure, will be happy to snatch him up! Love the mini gun he comes with, also the slight hint of Dreadwing in the form of the sword embedded within it!

The combination with needlenose probably comes from one of the MANY possible reuses of the mold, as G1 Dreadwind and Needlenose as G1 Blackwing. There's also a pretty big list of other possible redecos: - Prime Dreadwing - Machine Wars Starscream - G1 Skyquake - G2 Dreadwing? (Needlenose as G2 Smokescreen?) - Zombie Skyquake - Cybertron Starscream? - Any other big jet transformer

Skyquake and predaking were always my favorite designs from prime, so cool that quake finally got the treatment he deserves

yep, this went from an "okay, thsi is cool but will probably get the Dreadwing repaint," to, "Yeah I want both." this thing is so, so cool, I love it, and I love he looks like a leader instead of a leader-priced voyager.

I think the concept of SkyQuake intrigues people because he didn’t get much screen time in Prime. I hope he shows up in Earthspark.

Looking at the figure I think Hasbro meant it for its G1 version but, as in the past, releases the redeco/retool first. But that doesn't change the fact that he's a great figure.

I am so Ready for this guy! Been a big fan of this underrated character who got way too little screentime. Might get any redecos too, this looks like one of the best leaders in years.

I really hope they create a G1 colourway of this guy, that figure along with Thunderclash are so nostalgic. Although I also do remember the dreaded gold plastic of the original!

While I would have preferred a 1 to 1 Prime design, this is definetly the much appreciated love letter that those first three horribly failed to deliver. Love both of his modes and... oh boi... he surely have a presence! He looks majestic! Also, I appreciate seeing the transformation in both ways, it can help fully understanding how to move the parts.

Megatron ordered me to annihilate you. -Transformation to robot to jet and back again is very involved. 13:33 Skyquake: Air superiority achieved. -Jet mode looks as awesome has his robot mode. It's sharp and aerodynamic. -Looking forward to his blue repaint as his twin brother Dreadwing, and possibly a repaint as his Decepticon Predator figure. As the tabs and evo-fusion gimmick with Needlenose may be a hint, of what else is to come with this Skyquake mold.

Good review. The reverse transformation was an added bonus considering who detailed the engineering is for this figure. I'll grab one but I still want the G1 version out of this figure if they will release the rest of the Predators.

When the original dreadwing came out in g2, he came with a name dumped smokescreen(who was a jet). Hasbro is probably going to repaint needle nose into that smokescreen to combine with the inevitable dreadwing repaint.

At first I was a bit iffy on this figure due to the chest, but now it's grown on me. Hope they remold the weapon for a dreadwing repaint, cause I'm definitely gonna need two of this mold

Really looking forward to a dreadwing repaint, I never got my hands on the Prime Rid version

transformation looks pretty simple I can't wait! I'm not usually a fan of upgrade kits especially if their 3d printed but if someone makes a kit for this guy to invert the back pack wings I might be tempted to pick one up!

Found Dreadwing recently and I love him, wish I could find and get Skyquake as well. However, I sincerely hope we get a repaint of this figure soon that will make him look more like the original G1 Predator, especially since the mold is already based on him, all they have to do is change the headsculpt and paintjob.

OH MAN I REALLY NEED THIS GUY SO BADLY

Can't wait for the Dreadwing repaint!

I'm fairly certain Skyquake went through a major redesign towards the end of development, and there are some clear artifacts left over from this. His elbows are mismatched, but they function identically. There's a pivoting mushroom joint near the landing gear that goes completely unused. The directions promote the idea of a solid object passing through another solid object. The back has a massive gap that sticks out behind his head. The tabs on the wings don't ever line up the way they need to. I believe that the original transformation had the canopy sliding into the cockpit space and the whole nose spinning around. This solved all of the issues I have with the figure. The ugly gap behind his head is nowhere to be seen. The wings tab into the back properly. The kicker? This concept makes the weight of the figure significantly more central and fills out his chest more, which would eliminate the need for heels, which he doesn't have. Furthermore, I believe that the redesign was done specifically to dump the accurate cockpit torso in favor of the g1 torso since the shaping of everything seems to suggest that the original plan was more screen-accurate. So Hasbro essentially gave us a worse figure because they wanted to jack themselves off to g1 some more like the last 5 years weren't enough already.

This is definitely a must have

I gotta say I've got some high hopes for what they'll do with the designs (Season 1-2 and beast hunters), Megatron, Unicron, Shockwave and Predaking. Because this figure was always one of my most hoped for after owning the original for so long. I loved the TFP show storyline and designs. Please Hasbro do the rest of the figures the justice arcee and Bulkhead were deprived of 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Somehow I actually remember Skyquake more from his appearance in last stand of the wreckers. I guess it must be how integral he was to the story, his death at the very end of the book was quite shocking.

Nice review. I have Skyquake on preorder and can't wait to get him. I like the Legacy Bulkhead and I think it was supposed to be a G1 version of Animated Bulkhead not Prime even though they said Prime on release probably bc of popularity. Xtransbots is making a MP version of Bulkhead that is taking queues from the Legacy one and it looks amazing with the G1 inspiration. We have APC if we want something closer to the original. I like that Hasbro is doing these G1 -esque versions and I hope one day we get a G1 style Prime and/or Cyberverse Bumblebee.
