I hope that in the next movie, Charlie will be back. Bee will be so happy to see her and he can introduce her to Optimus. When I watched revenge of the fallen, I’m not gonna lie I loved it. Dark of the moon is criminally underrated. Having said that, the last knight was pure garbage

Great ranking. For me easily Bumblebee is the best one. That movie has the best human characters, best humor and the most heart. Its the movie in the franchise that had the most emotional story that hit me. The Bumblebee character felt more like a actual real person to me. Also love the animated movie. I would put rise of the beasts in third. I liked the first Transformers movie but even in that the humor didn't always work for me personally. Five and six are the only ones I am not 100 percent sure on. I prefer Mark Wahlberg's character over Shia LaBeouf's character between those two movies. I liked his character in the first movie but didn't love his character. I couldn't stand his character in the two sequels. I don't love Mark Wahlberg's character in his first movie but at least had some investment in his character compared to Shia LaBeouf's character in his sequels. Dark of the Moon does have one of the best third acts action wise in the franchise. I could see myself switching those two spots around. I was born in 1992, and I still will argue the 1986 animated film is the best Transformers film. It goes by so fast you don’t even realize it’s 90 minutes long (and while it stands on its own, it’s even better if you watched the first two G1 seasons first), it has the most energetic ending, has great music and has some of my favorite Transformers moments, #1 being Galvatron killing Starscream. I’d happily watch that film 5 times in row instead of the five Bayformers films in a row.

For Transformers 86 (my #1 by far, I grew up in the 80s) 2D Transformers never looked that good, before or since. I don't know why people pan the animation. Watching that movie chronologically from seasons 1 and 2 does add a ton of impact. I'll admit maybe too necessarily.

I think the main issue with the 80's Transformers movie was that it was just one gloriously animated commercial. It doesn't hold up due to the fact that it expects you to know the series already and the story only served the purpose in replacing the original cast. That's why it didn't age well as a movie in general. It's still a dope piece of nostalgia, but only works for people invested in G1.

I've always said that Dark of the Moon is a lot better then people give it for. If you just remove all the human nonsense with Sam's job and his girlfriend the movie is honestly the best of the Bay films. It also should've been where they ended his saga of films especially since everyone was killed at the end.😅

Can't believe there's 7 live-action Transformers movies now and Thank God i didn't watch Transformers: The Last Knight, i think that was the only Transformers i had missed and i feel bless😊Only Transformers i love was Bumblebee that's it.

7: Rise of The beasts, characters were lackluster and horrible with no fun action scenes, 2/10 6: Revenge of the fallen, No many criticisms , 8/10 5: Dark knight, I loved the European feel of the movie and the CGI during the action scenes was amazing, 8'2/10 4: Bumblebee, Storyline and writing was great but it lacked fun action scenes, 8'5/10 3: Age of extinction, this is a extremely hot take but I really enjoyed all the action scenes and Lockdown the main villain was the best in the franchise. 9/10 2: Dark Moon , It felt epic and I loved all the twists and fights scenes. 9'4/10 1: Transformers, Shia and Megan killed it with this one , they were funny yet serious and ultimately this film started my childhood. 9'9/10

Great Tier List Austi. I have been a massive Transformers fan since I was little boy in 1998 and 2007. I watched the cartoons being my favourite are Beast Wars and Transformers Prime, I collected the action figures until now, I read the comics, I played the video games both console and arcade, and I'm even fan of the first three live action Transformers movies. Anyways here is my list for every Transformers for all live action movies and the two animated movies. Yes I'm including that one tv movie also. 1. Transformers 2007 (I know, I know, but among all the Transformers movie I have watched and the one I can watch again, this movie is the go to movie for me. It's not perfect but this movie is a great Transformers movie and maintains as my favourite. And come on, that Arrival To Earth scene was perfect). 2. Transformers Dark Of The Moon ( An improvement over the previous movie but still not great. But it's more watchable. I love Sentinel Prime as the villian, the bot designs are so cool and badass and that final battle in Chicago is just pure Transformers awesome. Awesome movie but not a great movie.) 3. Transformers Rise Of The Beasts ( The most recent Transformers movie and I recently watched this movie on Saturday afternoon. This movie is flawed but it's still a great Transformers, in my opinion. I have so much fun watching this movie in IMAX theater and what great experience for me. The bot designs are more closer to their G1 counterpart, I love the villian Scourge he is a menacing and terrifying villian, the action scenes are so cool and fun to watch especially that final battle, felt like a Saturday morning cartoon on the big screen. Yeah some of the dialogue are cheesy, pacing is abit rushed and the characters don't get enough screentime. But I had fun with this movie and I felt like a kid again. Honestly if they can maintain that same level of consistency and heart for this movie and Bumblebee as the previous two terrible Micheal Bay movies, I'm okay with it.) 4. Bumblebee 2018 ( A very solid movie and heartwarming movie. Bee and Charlie relationship is cute and adorable, the action scenes while minimal they are fun to watch especially that epic Cybertron opening scene. What a great movie and step in a right direction for this franchise.) 5. Transformers Prime Beast Hunters : Predacons Rising ( A great movie and closure to my opinion the greatest Transformers cartoon of all time, Transformers Prime. Optimus Prime sacrifice at the end really made me sad but a satisfying ending to his character arc.) 6. Transformers 1986 movie ( A good movie but not my favourite because I didn't grew up in the 80s but I'm a 90s kid. I grew up with Beast Wars and the Jurassic Park. I have fun watching this movie but not my cup of tea.) 7. Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen ( The first Transformers movie that I can admit it was terrible. This movie has cool premise. A powerful being, The Fallen AKA Megatronus Prime that came back for revenge after centuries ago and being betrayed by his brothers. And only a Prime can stop movie. The movie did not execute this concept well while the comics and games did it better. The only good things are the characters are likeable (except for you Leo), the forest battle and egypt battle are awesome, and Linkin Park music for this movie is amazing. A terrible movie with some redeeming qualities to it. Same cannot be said about the last two Bayformer entries.) 8. Transformers Age Of Extinction ( I used like this movie but watching it again, this movie is even worse that Revenge Of The Fallen and it's too long. The characters are not likeable and annoying, the action scenes most of the time I can't tell what is going on, the Dinobots are barerly in the movie, the execution of a cool concept is poorly handle. The goo things are Lockdown is a good villian but Scourge and Sentinel Prime are better villians, the fight with Optimus and Lockdown is cool, and the Dinobots despite showing up the last minute, are cool additions. Overall a terrible movie and can't get even worse right. Right?) 9. Transformers The Last Knight ( I spoke to soon. This movie is just garbage and such horrible movie. First place, to me, is the 2007 movie. The action is still great, the transformers are colorful and the decepticons are grey or black; they are easy to noticed. Sam is not too annoying, he has a big heart and wants to save his parents... ok he will get a sexy girlfriend but this guy is alright. The government are not idiots who wants to use a giant robot to destroy the Autobots. The army is cool and useful plus they learn to respect Optimus's team and worked with them to defeat the villains. It's a fun movie 😀 Second place is Bumblebee mostly for the characters and the action. Bee's friendship with Charlie is adorable, she helped him to talk and he helped her to defeat the villains. She also has an arc. At first, the teenager is affraid to dive because the last time she did it her father was there; it's not the same thing without him. Charlie fight her fear and dived to save Bumblebee, that was awesome 🙂

The funny thing is that TLK was the first ever Transformers movie i have seen on big screen. And i dunno abt others, but i kinda enjoyed the movie, and i know, it could be because i havent gotten the taste of the previous movies which is definitely true, but it definitely was an interesting experience for me nontheless. But ROTB and Bumblebee were top tier movies of all time, i really love the fact that they rebooted the whole franchise, because Bay movies had so many inconsistencies and the plot sometimes was just awful, but i will sure do always enjoy the big random explosions and weird humor of Bay movies:))

My rankings on these movies: 1. Transformers ROTB (Personal Bias) I really loved this film, I liked the characters in this movie, I liked Pete Davidson's casting as Mirage( which I think was perfect) and I was laft speechless at how good Scourge was.(credit goes to Peter Dinklage's wonderful voice acting for Scourge's voice and it worked well for him) I liked Noah and Optimus's arc's in this movie, and the Maximals in the movie were great as well, especially Primal and Airazor. The human characters weren't only good, but they also had some contribution. The biggest plus is we got more screentime for transformers than humans(I think... I hope) I went to see this movie with my Mom and she gave it a 10/10, as well as I did. And I want to see where Steven takes this franchise, especially with the G.I Joe crossover. 2. Transformers 2007 (Do need to explain it? I will anyway) This movie was peek for transformers fsns, this was the first movie for the franchise's adaptation to live action and it was amazing. I grew up in the Bay era so I really loved this movie, I liked Sam's character and Megan fox in this movie. (Minus the fact that some shots were purposely made for her specifically) 3. Bumblebee (A fresh new take on the franchise and a good take on Bumblebee's character) this movie was fantastic, the cybertron scene was epic with the G1 designs molded into live action works incredibly well. Haliee Steinfield's character was great and Shatter and Dropkick were really good, I really loved the fact that they were triple changers as well. 4. Transformers DOTM (A great action pack film with a number of giant killing robots from the moon) most of it was good, and some were not at all. I liked Sentinel's twist near the end when he killed Ironhide, and all the Decepticons emerged from the moon's surface and invaded earth. 5. Transformers AOE (It's messy, but it's also decent at what it holds. I have a number of reasons why I like this movie) I liked some of the Autobot characters, I liked how they included the Dinobots. I liked Galvatron's design, it's a buch of wires and pipes, but it also shows that humans were getting close to perfection in their creation of their own transformers. Lockdown was a good Villain. And the scores were done very well thanks to Steve Jablonsky. 6. Transformers 86 (I did not grow up with the old shows, but I really respected the qualities of this movie for what it meant at the time) the animation was top notch, the characters were good. (Hotrod being the annoying little $*!+ he was, he still pulled it off at the end. I can't say anymore about this movie since I never grew up watching the old G1 shows. 7. Transformers ROTF (So many unnecessary scenes, with the exception of one) the College scene, the Alice scenes, the twins(especially the twins) and the dogs were completely not needed and had to significant purpose for the story(mainly due to bad script writing) the action was still good, the forest scene was personally the highlight of the film... plus Optimus having Jetfire's parts. 8. Transformers TLK (...) 💀🤦‍♂️😑👎 Dog$%#t, where the f*#! did this franchise go?... where was Optimus? Why did we have so many scenes with humans when this movie is suppose to be about transformers. I have so many more to say about this film, but I won't as I feel I've said enough. There's hardly anything good about this film.

I feel like a lot of the hate on the Michael Bay transformers films are a bit much. They’re overly critical. I appreciate you praising Shia’s performance. Because I think it can be a bit grading to some. But I just think if it is, this is not your type of film??? The transformers films are over the top, but I think with the first 3 it works in it’s favour. I think we are really missing what Michael Bay used to do so well, nowadays. People completely ignore the grandeur of the those films. The scale. Compared to something like the Mcu which most of the time, feels paper thin, because everything just looks as if it’s on a green screen or cutting corners with the vfx like with Rdj’s floating head with the iron man suit. It all feels like “ok what is the quickest most effective way to make this process as concise as possible”and ultimately that makes the viewing experience just feel more lacklustre and bland. I never grew up with the animated series or the toys, so I’m definitely biased here. But I thought Bay did a great job and the vfx team did a great job making the design of the characters and the transformation feel as realistic as it possibly could, and adapting the material for a more mature audience. The bay films have their issues for sure and by 4 and 5 the franchise devolved into quite possibly some of the worst films I’ve ever seen, but people completely ignore what’s so great about those films, and it’s kind of sad.

Seeing Rise of the Beasts stand next to the 1986 movie is awfully fitting.

My ranking (Haven't seen the 80s animated film): 1. Bumblebee (By far the best Transformers movie, takes E.T. mixed with Iron Giant to tell a simple, yet compelling story with Bee and Hailee Steinfeld, who's the best human character) 2. Transformers (2007) (Definitely flawed and has some of the annoying Bay-isms, but a decent and fun introduction to a franchise with VFX that still holds up amazingly and feels like Bay got reeled in from going overboard with his style.) 3. Rise of the Beast (Nothing to say about this one, it's your run of the mill blockbuster but a step in the right direction) 4. Dark of the Moon (The 3rd act with The Battle in Chicago, despite some dumb moments, is amazing to look at, doesn't make up for what came before it in the first 2 acts though.) 5. Age of Extinction (Overlong, bloated, loud, excessive, and even creepy and annoying with the whole Romeo and Juliet law subplot with the daughter and the boyfriend. Wahlberg is the only passable thing in it, but even he succumbs to the bad dialogue.) 6. The Last Knight (The most phoned in of the Transformers franchise. Annoying change in aspect of ratio, basically more of the same as the other ones, I don't know what the hell Anthony Hopkins is doing in this, Zero chemistry between Wahlberg and Peter Quill's mom (Yeah it's the same actress), and the whole Optimus Prime/Nemesis Prime subplot is underused and how it concludes is so anticlimactic. Even the visual effects (Also in Age of Extinction and parts of Revenge of the Fallen) looks like ass.) 7. Revenge of the Fallen (I highly doubt it would've been any different if the writers actually were involved. Doubles down on all the worst aspects of the first one by relying on Bay's worst tendencies with his frat boy humor, making it the most insufferable of the movies IMO. Again loud, obnoxious, can't what the hell is going on, convoluted, tonally confused, too much padding, barely a plot with numerous of holes, same for the other Bayformer sequels, and worst of all: offensive, Mudflap and Skids, need I say more?)

RotF is legitimately one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. It was excruciating. DotM however, I feel is extremely underrated and overlooked. It's a really a fun time, especially in 3D. Easily one of the best films in the entire series.

Austin love you're reviews,but Bumblebee really didn't crash and burn with the good reviews,I checked budget was 102/140 million,bo was 468 million, disappointing however that's not a bad return with the lowest budget film in the series.

For me, ranking them would go like this, best to worst. I also haven't seen Rise of The Beasts, so, I can't say anything on that lol. Also, while I think some of these aren't great, I only really think a couple of them are just bad. Like, that's about it, otherwise, there's something I really enjoyed in each of them. 1. Bumblebee, this is my favorite movie of all time. This movie had so much heart in it, and was just a fun movie. And that opening sequence was just awesome and I wish we could get a live action Transformers movie like that. But I love this movie, so for me, it's my number 1 and it's again, my favorite movie of all time tbh. And then the opening with Cena, that cracked me so much lol. And I'm not gonna lie, I have a huge thing for Hailee Steinfeld, so, I really liked her in this. She was one of the reasons why this movie just has so much heart to it. Like, this is what a Transformers movie should be. 2. Transformers (2007), this was awesome, when I was 7, when this movie came out, I loved this movie. And I still do, the sound design on this movie is just top notch and the movie in general just holds up when you compare it to some modern blockbusters. Such as the CG. The CG in this holds up so good when you compare it to some movies that's come out recently. Like, come on, those sonic booms when they show up to Earth, and the reveal of each of them was just badass. And Hugo Weaving doing the voice of Megatron, that guy was fucking terrifying lol. 3. The Transformers The Movie, alright, I think this is a fun movie. And it's a bit cheesy in my opinion, but come on, it came out in 1986, so, I'll chalk that up to it being a product of the time. And it just holds up. There's not much to really say, it's a great movie, the voice work is awesome. 4. Transformers Age of Extinction, ok , this is gonna confuse some people. I honestly liked the ideas some stuff was being set up for in this movie. And some of the visuals was just awesome. Did the movie start going a little nuts and taking itself a little to serious. O yea. That's actually a complaint. But I do really enjoy this movie. I don't care what people say. 5. Transformers The Dark of The Moon. Alrighty, here's where things started to get a little strange. I mean, really? Transformers landed on the moon and that's why we went to the moon? Ok. I mean, it kinda does make a little bit of sense, but ok. And that final fight in Chicago is just, god damn. That was a pretty sick ending. 6. Transformers Revenge of The Fallen, ooooook, I don't like this movie. Where do I start? And the movie being this bad, that's on the writers strike. But even then, the plot is just so god damn lazy. Alright, so, they expect me to believe Sam goes nuts after touching just a sliver of the cube, even tho he held the whole damn thing in the first movie and it would be its peak power when he used it on Megatron in the first movie. But that didn't make him go insane, no, just a sliver of it makes him go nuts. Like, fuuuuuck off. But there's three reasons why this movie isn't last. The Twins, Jetfire and A New Divide by Linkin Park. Ok, that's it for the positives. 7. Transformers The Last Knight, ok, there's nothing redeemable about this steaming pile. There's really not. This has the normal things you'd expect out of a Transformers movie done by Michal Bay, a hot chick, explosions and that there's some stupid and idiot thing with the Transformers from the past. They had me with the dinosaurs in the last one. That's kinda cool. But with King Arthur? Yea, ok. Riiiiiight. And then the fact Bumblebee was killing Nazi's? Huh?????? Didn't he land on Earth not long before the other Autobots in the first Transformers movie to protect Sam? But apparently, he's been on Earth for a very long time before hand, to fight some Nazi's. Just, really? Uh, no. And the aspect ratio constantly changing, it puts me out of it, the shaky cam makes me sick to my stomach, this movie sucks. This movie belongs in its own circle of hell with Captain Corelli's Mandolin and Dragon Ball Evolution.

Glad someone else likes Dark of the Moon, though still a shame Megan Fox couldn't finish the trilogy and first couple acts are slow with weird humor at times. I'd say it and Transformers 2007 are definitely the best of the Michael Bay movies. Bumblebee is an enjoyable movie and Charlie is a great character. Age of Extinction I like a bit more than other people but yeah not great rather ok or meh. Revenge of Fallen I like the action scenes and we still have the original cast of humans and transformers but too much comedy, probably the most forgettable main villain in the series, and annoying new characters. Would have replaced Mudflap and Skids with Sideswipe and Ironhide to tag along with Sam and Bumblebee's group. The Last Knight is easily the worst movie in the series. Pacing is too fast and there was always a joke being thrown in every 2-4 minutes. Crimes of Grindelwald and Rise of Skywalker had fast pacing too and questionable decisions but those movies I would still rewatch while this one I wouldn't. I haven't seen the other two movies.

my ranking 1. age of extinction (was 11 when i watched and finally got to enjoy and understand the whole movie plot) 2. the last knight (movie story line was kind of whack...but the reason i put it in 2nd because i enjoyed watching the cinematics like the robots were very detailed and also i could recall a number of scenes in my head about this movie as i was like 14yrs old compared to watching 2007 when i was 6. i got to enjoy this movie more as i was older 3. revenge of the fallen (was 6yrs old and i remember getting scared of the robot-like girl. megan fox was 'sexy' in the movie when i look back but i didnt had any sexual thoughts back then ) 4. dark of the moon (movie was quite good. remembered the scene where the tall building was getting destroyed. people were saying the movie wasnt as good since megan fox is not in the movie. i didnt even notice / cared that she wasnt in the movie. i was just a casual viewer as a kid) 5. 2007 (i was like 4years old when i watched this, didnt develop any ' feelings' or have the understanding of the movie and english isnt my first language) 6. bumblebee (hated the whole reboot thing. not a bad movie) 7. rise of the beast (very weak villains. bumblebee died and somehow got revived again..mirage was cool..but noah fighting as a robot was whack

I think the last two transformers movies are the best ones. I prefer this franchise and I was born in the 70s Rise of the beast and the bumble bee movie brought me back to my child hood. And you was good to see the bad guys look different compare to the 1st transformers movie we're star screen and megatron looked awful

I haven’t seen rise of the beats or the animated film but from what I’ve seen I’d to 5. Age of Extinction 4. The Last Knight (pretty underrated imo) 3. Revenge of the Fallen (pure nostalgia and the soundtrack slaps) 2. Dark of the Moon 1. Transformers (one of my favorite films ever tbh, so nostalgic and just pure fun. The score is amazing) Linkin park songs in 1-3 hit different. Edit: damn… people hate tf5 and it just hurts my heart. I didn’t think it was bad at all. I’m not adding bumblebee because I thought it was mid asf and I don’t wanna get hated on more than I’m already going to.

my list is kinda different compare to other plebs that like to trash on Bayformers and praising the new TF cause they are more faithful to the source material only cause they took G1 blocky designe and put them on big screen doesn't make them better and least Bay for most parts could create movies that work as movie should and not like some stupid fan servise that i feel from Rise of the Beast. so here is list (for now without Rise of the Beast) 6. Wait, 1986 movie doesn’t “hold up”? Unless you are referring to it being traditional animation? The animation is beautiful and the soundtrack is great. The action sequences are ones you can actually follow. None of the live action Transformers movies are great, unless they are graded on a curve.

I will never understand The Transformers movies. Looking back I think all the Michael Bay ones are awful. I just don't get it. The human characters are annoying af, the editing is messy, the humor is basic and they are soooo long. There are lots of movies I don't like but I absolutely understand what other people see in them. I will never get this franchise though (as far as the Bay ones go).
