Yall need to understand fr fr. Orion pax is NOT optimus prime. So he shouldn't be voiced by Cullen. This is literally everyone as they first were. They don't even have transformation cogs yet. This is the very beginning of theirs stories, and people expect it to flop are goofy.

So not many of us grew up after all these aeons.. Cullen can't be expected to voice Prime forever, and Prime is younger this time around, would actually sound wrong having Cullen 's mature voice for this. Yeah I'd hoped for a more serious tone too, but have you already forgotten how old you were when first falling for transformers? Seems most you here have. I'll always be hugely grateful for the fun they once brought me as a child, but we need to hand them over to a younger generation now, we had our day, and this lighter humorous tone fits well in appealing to a fresh audience. Prime and Megatron starting out as pals makes perfect sense. Bay decimated any childlike hope that could've been realised in his misguided films, and I'm too old to clutch to the dead dream of seeing TF '86 after too many let downs, just happy there's still enthusiasm finally shining out of recent releases, this looking equally promising. Nolan ain't ever gonna do TF, folks, just deal with it. I'd severely love a hard heavy tone tailored to adults, still holding out but until then, sure this will be fun. OK, who's first to take me down, ha !

This is the most un-braindead comment about this I've seen. This is what I've been trying to explain since this trailer dropped. I do believe it's gonna pick up more serious tones as time goes on with this series. Seeing the split between Orion and D-16 to become optimus and megatron will be a dream come true tho.

Yes, I'm also sure there'll be more serious tones to come, even in this film...way to soon to write it off dismissively, I love transformers too much ! I almost also mentioned that I felt sorry for the young Captain America fans when 'winter soldier' came out, a good film with a very serious tone maybe, but there was nothing there for the kids, and I'd be selfish at 48 to deprive a younger audience of some light laughs along the way, just to preserve my ancient perception of 'how it should be'... yeah, most in these comment need to grow up.
