The GI Joe tease at the end of the movie gave me flashbacks to when The Weekly Planet had their episode reviewing Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins. Boy, what a good memory that was. One of the best episodes of the pod, i can really listen to it over and over and never get tired of it.

Yes, Link talks and we don't hear it in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Also in the Japanese version of BoTW, the journal is actually written from Link's perspective, and he's surprisingly expressive.

Link is actually a little dork in BotW and TotK. If you pay attention to his replies in conversations he will usually jump at the opportunity to make a joke or a even a pun. Really wish he would do that in cutscenes as him just being an emotionless mute in them actually ruins them.

I love that they retired the “guy who shouts ‘Rodney’ then explodes” bit because they genuinely got tired of it on Caravan of Garbage. Then they keep the “Defenders Of The Earth” riff in The Weekly Planet 100% because they’re just too lazy to change it lol. 😂

I can confirm that Death of Dr. Strange is a great read! Jed MacKay is one of the best writers currently working at Marvel. His runs of Black Cat and Moon Knight are also worth picking up, and he did a fantastic (and hilarious) Taskmaster mini.

Man... I knew I saw barley any marketing for Rise of the Beasts but tbh I had no clue it was even set in 1994 and had like normal transformers in it. I thought it was like early pre-humans and just about the monkey robots 🤣

So the only way i can see Illumination doing a good Zelda is Toon link from Wind Waker. They can make Link mostly mute with super expressive reactions. My personal choice for a Zelda film, Dreamworks and the Puss in Boots team, i think they could knock that out of the park!

Honestly, a two hour Wind Waker movie would be awesome. Like, all they would need to do would be make the story movie length and well paced. The story is perfect. The art style is perfect. They could start it off with the same story reel about the Hero of Time, instantly opening the Zelda world to expansion.

Goddamn Mason for making me remember Team Knight Rider! I think that was part of the now defunct UPN network's prime time rollout (pun intended 😉), but was basically a ridiculous, less fun version of Power Rangers Turbo. If they're not going to combine into a giant robot to fight monsters, what are they even doing?

There was a big theory around Scourge maybe being the Bayverse Prime corrupted by Unicron and the whole thing would go all multiversal. I quite liked the idea of him being a fallen Optimus from another dimension, and it would have explained why his vehicle mode was a Bay-Primeish style of truck. Sadly he wasn't really all that interesting in the end. Just Generic Henchman Leader #274 really.

I would of been more hype if The Rock appeared at the end of Transformers but it’s not Roadblock its actually Hobbs and the reveal is the transformers are in the Fast franchise and then the second reveal in the next movie is Hobbs and Roadblock are twin brothers so all 3 universes are connected so we can have 2 Rocks teaming up with each other.

Honestly they should just make a new Zelda story. Just avout every game in the series is, moslty, disconnected. I know there are canon timelines but that isnt as important as good individual stories.
