This one doesn’t transform fully into a ssj because of the restraints, see it as an “halfway” ssj, while in the second coming movie he is able to transform since he doesn’t have the restraints anymore.

Restrained is the blue hair. It's not as powerful.

He only hates Goku as he reminds him of his PTSD from being stabbed and thrown out like trash left to die on a destroying planet. Super Broly on the other hand is a generic Tarzan wannabe lame character that can not even talk and only yells. His design is shit, his moves are generic and he just doesn’t work as a good guy. They literally do nothing with his character after the movie. I prefer Kale over Dbs Broly.
