I can’t be,Ive I found this. I’m lying here alone in my bed on Christmas morning. I’ve been awake all night thinking and crying. It was one week ago that my son died unexpectedly. He was so special to me and I’ve been in total shock and grief. Thank you so much.

Stones are flowers that never die

Years ago I went through hard times emotionally. There was no one I could talk to. As I walked with my dogs through the forest on a nearby trail, I asked for help from the forest. In a short time I saw a perfect heart shaped stone on the trail. Just a stone in a forest, not painted, just a gift from the forest. I picked it up and felt seen and heard and cared for by the forest. After that I started finding heart shaped stones all the time. They always made me feel adored . This is years later. I have buckets full of these stones. I have baskets in my house full of heart shaped stones. Recently I endured a huge tragic event. I couldn't shake the sadness, and now I've heard your story. I will find your website and it just so happens that I have been painting rocks for decades. I've hidden love messages on them and put them inside my homemade soaps so that they could be discovered on just the right day. This therapy is just so perfect for me. I taught my children no act of kindness is too small. A smile or a hello can start a chain of positivity. Then that person does something nice for someone else

I love this Love Thread! It lets others know they are loved and we are all one! A few years ago my niece took a Zentangle class, eventually became a licensed teacher and she would create small zentangle notes/cards and leave them in random places for people to find! She also had the same message of love on her beautiful cards! Isn't life beautiful when we share Love!!!

I was visiting my mother in Auburn Calif. I found a beautiful stone on the back saying "Art Abandonment, Enjoy" just laying on a bench. This is so beautiful. I felt so blessed to receive it, If one is ment to find it, spirit will make sure the perfect person will receive it. 🙏

Oh my! My daughter and I did this a few years ago. I came across a Facebook page, not the same as what’s shared here but we started painting rocks and hiding them in places where we hiked. People would find them and post a photo on the Facebook page. Currently my daughter is 18 and our relationship is currently not at its greatest point and she has been on hiatus for 9 months now. I haven’t seen her but she started reaching out via text a few months ago. This is something that has been very challenging at times and I’m listening now and this story is leaving a special feeling with me. Thank you for your words and sharing your story.

All around the Pacific Northwest you will find these beautiful stones. For years now. I never knew the story behind it because the stones I’ve come across and others have shared didn’t come with a note in a baggy but they did come with beautiful heartfelt messages that touched everyone’s soul still to this day. I always wondered where it started. Now that I know who to thank… Thank you for sharing the story of when your heart broke and the steps you made along the way to fill in those delicate cracks and admit that you probably always will be tending to those cracks but that doesn’t mean your heart is any less filled with Love in fact I believe that it’s possible that those very cracks have made your heart shine through to others where it may have never been able to before. This let me grief for some extreme losses I experienced sometime ago, but for some reason I couldn't grief before. I AM always the strong one and helping those around me, but this gave me the sacred space for me to grief on this Christmas day and moving the energy of grief as needed for me right now. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this and all those involved. Also loss is something I have not encountered before those losses in my life journey, so I AM learning about grief when I thought I know a lot already about life, but as I'm learning the hard way there's always more to learn; a very humbling experience for me, a know-it-all person that I AM 🤨😐

When i was 16 there was a bad car accident in front of my house. A beautiful young woman died i was definitely not prepared for this. The next day when i got up only to find my best childhood friend committed suicide he was 16 i remember screaming and crying i was so devastated there aren't words. I drove around like a zombie. I was looking for someone to talk to i ended up at a Catholic Church i wasn't Catholic. A young priest sat and talked to me for hours. He helped me so much. It took years to come to terms with all of it i thought i would never stop crying. I grew up a lot really fast. I wanted to die i didn't think I'd ever get back to "normal" i couldn't kill myself because i knew the pain it was cause so much pain to my loved ones. I simply couldn't bare that

During the pandemic I started painting stones and also went into the woods, next to the river. I also went into the city and left them half-way hiding and half-way on plain sight. It was a sign for me for whoever found them, it was suppossed to bring them luck, love, comfort, etc. So, yes I do resonate very much with Deborah's story, eventhough I was not hurting due to the loss of a dear family member. It was mainly because the difficult times we all were going through. Sometimes I had the feeling that I was not fast enough to paint the stones, so I used to sit 3 to 6 hours/day just painting. The more I painted, the more ideas I got! On other days, I packed my stones and rode my bike to deliver them wherever I decided to go. It was such a great feeling to hear this story! Thanks for sharing with us
