I always loved this Ecto 1A sticker set because it was the very first toy I ever got to put together by myself. The stickers weren't perfectly aligned and some of them may have been put in the wrong spot, but damn it, it was mine and I loved it.

I kind of like this Ecto-1A. The standard Ecto-1 is almost too plain looking by itself.

I remember actually sneaking down opening the present (with the help of my brother) on Christmas eve, looking at, terribly putting the wrapping paper back on the box, and acting like nothing happen a few hours later when Mom watched me open it

I love that Hasbro is re-releasing the Ecto, but I wish we could get a show accurate Ecto someday. God knows movie accurate Ectos are a dime a dozen.

Never thought I would be able to get any RGB re-issue toys since my only WalMart is in a not-so-great area. Thankfully, the internet has my back. I was born in '90 so I never thought I would have these. Totally bought two of them. I love the Ecto-1A.

I have been collecting as much ecto 1a stuff as I can, and I've been sitting on this sticker set for this very reason!

This is a toy I loved so much as a kid. I remember playing with it so much one day as I was very young that I popped of the doors. Thinking I broke em, I immediately threw them into the bin. I still have remorse doing this, as a 31 year old guy.

I loved my Ecto 1-A as a kid. Its a bit trashed these days, and it's nice to know I can bring it back to life. Or get the Hasbro Ecto 1. So thanks for that. I thought the kenner figures that launched with GB 2 were kind of fun and whimsical. The pink proton packs, and revealing slime when you shoot them with water. I was one of those kids that never got to play with the slime because my mom thought it would get into the carpet lol. So it was nice to get to substitute water for the slime.

Weird timing on this as I just watched a couple Kenner Ecto 1A Review videos this morning. So cool. Now I might have to pick up two of these...

I'm just curious about one thing: why didn't you make this one into the Ecto-1B instead (except for the license plate, of course, obviously)? Why not use the caution stripes and the original "No Ghost" logo (and as many of the slime and slimer and "Ghost on Board" stickers as you like)? That would look awesome and it would solve your fussiness problem about the two different kinds of "No Ghost" logos and how well the original logo fits on the two front doors better. Am I really the only one who is thinking outside of the box and thinking about the Ecto-1B? Oy! Still, great video, Jason. So when are us non-famous people receiving the new Ecto? I'd ordered it and the ghosts at the same time, thinking they'd had the same release date and I received the ghosts, but not the car I've wanted since I first saw the OG my cousins with rich parents had and I didn't because...my parents weren't rich. I'm so excited to finally receive it after all these years regardless and hope the firehouse is coming next!

If I get this, I'm actually thinking of making a real hearse out of it

Classic Ecto for me. I found the 1A to be a little over the top. As for what I'd do, if money wasn't an option. I'd skip the 1A, and do the Black, and grey spotted Ambulance pre-Ecto, and maybe another gloss Black hearse for the the Monsters. Except instead of the rack, and light bars. The hearse would have a pull back soft top, so the Wolfman, and Frank could ride too. Or just a spring loaded coffin for Drac. lol

Only one question on my mind: would there be a Wreckto paintjob with appropriate mods to the mold to resemble the Afterlife Ecto?

Most of my childhood RGB toys were given away, but I managed to hang onto both the Ecto-1 and Ecto-1A. I may do this as well, though.... get two of the reissued Ecto-1's and this sticker sheet. I'll probably be selective on which stickers I actually use (for instance I probably won't use the sticker that says "The Real Ghostbusters" on it). Basically I want it to represent the movie version as much as possible even though I know it won't be identical. I'd love it if someone could make alternate doors (preferably in white that closely matches the colors of the reissued car) to put on this with no indentations for the "no ghost" logo stickers. That way the Ecto-1A stickers can just be applied to a flat surface and awkwardly go over the indentations for the original logo.

Hopefully I can get the ecto-1 and Slimer in digital 3D form on next weeks drop on the VeVe app. Can't wait! Can take photos with them in AR too.

I got an ecto1 afterlife playset and I couldn't stand the witheness so I painted the roof elements and put some chrome and wheathering where required

I actually just did this, but instead of using the Ghostbusters 2 logo I kept the OG logo so it would look closer to the Ecto 1B from the Ghostbusters Video Game 😎

I took an original Ecto last year and turned it into a 1A, which I prefer

I will admit the Ecto-1A is really over the top when compared to the original car, although I think the Ecto-1A has the necessary decals an emergency vehicle should have. It’s got the company number, it’s got caution stripes to inform people around it carry’s dangerous equipment and the color choice of lights is right for their type of work.

I did same thing with my original ecto1 except I made the mistake of spray painting it with glow in dark paint. Made the surface reject the stickers.

That sticker maker should also make a version that's on transparent plastic. Though it doesn't matter to me as I don't like the Ecto-1A stickers and will just stick with the original version. Though I may buy 3rd party stickers for Ecto-1 as they are probably printed on a higher quality material than what Hasbro puts in the box.

The Kenner Real GB Ecto-1 finally arrived in Walmart stores in Mexico, but it came with a very insulting retail price of $1,900 MXN ($95 USD). I mean i love Ghostbusters, it's ranks second on my top 3 most loved franchise ever after TMNT, but that price is just ridiculous... i ended up buying the Hasbro Afterlife Ecto-1 which came with a retail price of $900 MXN or $43 USD, which is still higher than the US retail price of $27 USD but at least quite a bit more accessible compared to Kenner's Real GB Ecto-1.

This is really interesting. Could you print these stickers on clear sticker paper? Does that even exist?

Ghostbusters toys are directed more towards today's adults for obvious reasons, so I believe Hasbro will correct Kenner's mistake this time around and create separate moldings for Ecto-1A's doors. In general, toy companies today pay more attention to detail than ever before, unless they are trying to recreate childhood memories such as the Kenner line, but with that said, minor fixes such as the doors to the Ecto-1/1A should be corrected.

Mine came from Walmart this afternoon and unfortunately, the box was not 100% mint because of the way it was packaged. The upper back corner was wrinkled. As everyone knows, it is sold out and a Walmart exclusive and is already selling for a minimum of $80 on ebay. Does anyone know if there will be a second wave of The Real Ghostbusters Retro toy line? I cannot believe they left Janine out of the first wave!!!

I am converting a Kenner Classic Ecto to an Ecto 1A. Does anyone know of a custom red rear bumper to add to the Ecto 1A?

It really annoys me they never changed the doors. I"ve got a spare Kenner Classic car since upgrading to a genuine vintage one so was thinking of converting it to a 1A. That back window sticker just isn't right.

Love Zac's repro stickers, however the slime sticker sheet is not 100% done the same as the original. Those 5 or so slime splatters, and extra slimer, that are very lite are incorrect. The reason is because those ones were printed different, in a reverse ink image with white ink layer to apply inside the windows. Zac unfortunately I guess doesn't have a printer that does that 2 ink layer, so it's just a unaltered scan of what would be the back layer of the original sticker. There is another seller that produces correct 2 tone layer slime stickers however. Also both Zac and the other seller have some key differences. One uses Orange stripes, the other Yellow. One has a medium hood logo, the other large. I typically just buy from both of them and mix match. Never enough slime stickers! *sticks them all over firehouse and chromebook* stickers!!!
