You’ve perfectly transformed that space into a beautiful room. I never would have thought the Cognac colour would have gone … but it does! I really like the fireplace as is … good thinking putting the decorative moulding above it … seems to really suits the room. Looking forward to all the other rooms and outside that you have going on. It’s likely a cast iron surround on the fireplace but you can get black cast iron stove polish specially made for cast iron surrounds. I think it protects it from rusting. I think that’s what you are removing to get to the shiny part.

I would not have chosen a cognac colored couch for myself, but in your living room, it looks stunning! It does tie in the little bench seat, as you said. All together your living room looks so lovely! Great job on the fireplace!

Hi Courtney, if you think the fireplace is copper, you should try a salt and vinegar scrub on it and see if that brings forth the copper finish ❤

Omgodness.. how i missed this video Is beyond me! I see the notification bell on! Anyway here it is and I'm catching up! Lol.. calling the light rude made me giggle😄 You have the best sense of humor! And your husband moving the new sofa😂 And the sofa is gorgeous, looks awesome in the space! The lights look so good on the book cases, as well as the lamp light! The piece you added on the fireplace looks really good and i actually love the copper, its beautiful! Just A thought.. if you leave the copper do you think putting a little copper rub & buff on the edges of that decorative piece would bring it all together? Or whatever color it turns out matching the rub & buff to it. Just thought it would make it look like it was always there. I'm no interior designer by no means, just a thought😄 it may not look right IDK 🤷♀️ But i enjoyed the video as always! Excited for the next one, and to see how the fireplace comes out!😊
