Hey, Ashlee. I'm your older (by 1 year haha) FTM brother here. I've been on testosterone for 11 years now. I still remember that first year really had some bumps along the way. But even the smallest change was exciting. I know it's definitely a different experience for trans women and there can be more challenges along the way. It does seem like you do have a good support system though, which you'll want to lean on. Happy to meet you! And to that woman who made the mean comment, some people need to run things through a filter first before they say them. "If you propose to speak, always ask yourself, is it true, is it necessary, is it kind.”
