A’s Pandora its more than enough time to transit, Schipol is very efficient but unfortunately 1.5 hours is too little an amount of time to experience this awesome airport !

Thanks for watching. Yes, you'll go through both Immigration (since leaving Schengen countries) and another security check. You'll actually have the exact same route as I had after arriving from Paris. After the checks, your gate may be in D, E, F or G, just follow the signs. Bon voyage.

If you arrive from Denmark, you'll be in the Schengen area (piers B, C or D) - and going to the UK you'll definitely have to go through Immigration (again) and then probably to pier D. That one is on two levels, the lower one being "Schengen", the upper one being "outside-Schengen". But I'm guessing here, you better check once you're there. Schiphol being very easy and efficient, 1 hr stopover should be more then enough. Good luck ;-)

I think that there is an "airport hotel" right in the terminal, probably even airside. But whenever I transferred through Schiphol so far, I only had layovers of a couple of hours, so I wouldn't know for sure. Thanks for watching by the way.

You're very welcome; thanks for watching. AMS is a very efficient airport so 1.5hr transit time is OK. If your parents arrive from BRU (on a small plane actually), it's likely they arrive at pier B (disembark by bus and being dropped at pier B). The video shows the junction point of piers B and C at 01:10. Then, upon entering Loung 1, there is a huuuge Tranfer desk (shown at 01:27) where they can ask for the gate of their connecting flight (I'm sure they'll make themselves understood ;-) or they can just check on the screens. Then, move on diagonally through Lounge 1 (another series of info boards and tv screens at 01:58) till they arrive at the Immigration and Security checks at pier E to access the intercontinental/non-Schengen area. Then it really depends on which gate their flight departs from, pier F or beyond, one really can't tell in advance ... but it's just moving forward till they reach the right pier (clearly identified by letters D-F-G-H) and then move to the right gate (letter + number F12 or G24 etc). If you have a UK passport but most importantly: if you don't leave the airside part of the airport, there is no reason why you would need a transit visa. Why are you actually wondering?

No passing through Immigration again if you're connecting from/to any of the "Schengen" countries, i.e. Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. If you arrive from one of the above but are traveling on to another country that is not on this list, you'll pass through Immigration for sure. Thanks for watching.

How about if you’re traveling from U.S to Tanzania but transiting in Schipol

Sorry, I wouldn't know. I suggest you follow the signs once you arrive and/or ask the staff for assistance. Schiphol is very efficient and people are helpful, so don't worry. Have a good trip.

If you arrive from Brussels, chances are high that your (bus) gate is in pier B which joins pier C, where I arrived at in my vid, at the height of Lounge 1. To leave the "Schengen" area, you have to go through Immiration which is at pier D. It all then dépends on where you flight to Seattle is leaving from: Gate D which would be very close, or E, F or G where the walking distance can sum up to 15-20 minutes.

If you walk normally from the very end of pier C to the very end of pier F, with no crowds at passport control before lounge 2 and no time spent with shopping, eating or being distracted in any other way : I'd say between 8 and12 minutes. Thanks for watching.

Just checked on www.schiphol.nl and KLM flights from/to Oslo seem to be handled at gates B, C or D. Intercontinental flights are handled at gates D, E, F and G. So chances are high that you'll have a similar path through the terminal as I did. But I suggest you check on the screens or ask at an info/transfer desk upon arrival at AMS. Since you're only in transit, without entering the Netherlands I'd say "no". But I can't tell for sure since I came from France (practically "domestic" for the Netherlands) and then went on to Japan - so I "left" Holland and the Schengen countries; you are actually just "passing". Since you're not coming from a Shengen country and not going to a Shengen country you don't need through passport control. You only need to go through passsport check at Schiphol when entering the Netherlands or entering/leaving other shengen countries. If you have more quesions ask me.

Provided you checked your luggage through to Frankfurt and have your boarding pass for the connecting flight, yes. Otherwise, you have to pick up you luggage at the baggage delivery and check it in again or get a boarding pass at one of the "Transfer" desks.

Thanks for watching. If you have to collect your luggage and check in at your second airline, I understand that you'll have to leave the secured airside at on point and the re-enter it again. In that case, I guess you'll have to go through Immigration in that case as well. But all this is "guessing" since I never did that kind of transfer at Schiphol. No matter what you'll have to do, don't worry, AMS is a very easy and convenient airport to go through. Good luck ;-)

If you have to collect your luggage and recheck it don't forget you will need the right travel docs (valid passport, visa,...) to enter the Schengen area as baggage claim and check-in desks are behind immigration.

Allow for plenty of time. Schiphol is bursting at the seams this spring/summer seasons, so prepare to queue for immigration and security (twice in your case). Airlines are recommending to arrive at the airport 3 hrs in advance for normal departures, not taken into account passing immigration and security twice!

Probably too late for you, but it might help others with the same question. Depends if it this trip is 1 booking or 2 seperate bookings. with 1 booking you don't have to worry about your luggage as your suitcase will be labeled to Bogota (ask to label your suitcase to Bogota at Doha [?] airport at bagagedrop). With 2 seperate bookings for your two flights, your suitcase will be labeled for the flight Qatar to Amsterdam, means that you will have go through immigration and that you will have to pick up your suitcase at bagageclaim and go with your 2nd bookingform to upstairs (departures) to get there your flightticket and go to bagagedrop. Wich can be a hassle, specially when it is busy. Better make 1 booking so you dont have to worry about your bagage.
