Really adventurous spot.. one of the best tourist locations well maintained and very clean. Unbelievable how it was constructed a few thousand years ago. Fee quite exorbitant for non srilankan can be reduced to attract many.. unforgettable memories 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I can’t understand why people say it’s Ravan’s fortress. But it’s සීගිරිය, which means lions rock. Sri Lanka is not the country of Ravan, because there is no any evidence to support that. Bro don't spread misinformation and we don't appreciate it, there's not one verifiable source that say king ravana existed and build sigiriya but there's verified sources that say sri lankan king kashayappa build it to flee from his brother datusena cuz kashyappa killed his dad and took the kingship and sealed him inside the walls of the sigiriya fort. Ajay this Vlog is indeed very thrilling. Tekking to Sigiriya Fort is really very adventerous. So nicely and safely the TOURISM AUTHORITIES Have built the steps with safety Railings. While returning After 5.30pm people should come in groups to avoid getting lost. There are no light facilities inside the tUNNEL. In case somebody loses their way it will become difficult for them to come out. Some Security personnel should be posted to help Tourists to come out safely. Sunset View simply Amazing. Your Mother could not undertake this trek due to difficulties in climbing such steep steps. Happy that Appa really enjoyed the trek. Happy you got Kotmale Curds cONTAINER in a local supermarket. Fully loved and enjoyed this Great Digital trek with you. Going to watch again. All the best to all three of you. Take care.

ravan's castle was in Trincomalee (now underneath the sea and still visible when you dive) , in the past they didn't have steps to climb sigiriya, they climbed on the rock it self.

In 477 CE, Kashyapa , the king’s son by a non-royal consort, seized the throne from King Dhatusena, following a coup assisted by Migara, the King’s nephew and army commander. The rightful heir, Moggallana, fearing for his life, fled to South India. Afraid of an attack by Moggallana, Kashyapa moved the capital and his residence from the traditional capital of Anuradhapura to the more secure Sigiriya. During King Kashyapa’s reign (477-495 CE), Sigiriya was developed into a complex city and fortress. Most of the elaborate constructions on the rock summit and around it, including defensive structures, palaces, and gardens, date from this period.
