Hi, Minioxidal to be applied on only transplanted grafts or whole scalp area with existing hair too?? There is lot of confusion on this topic, kindly share a clarity on this..as many on youtube claim that minioxidal should be only for transplanted grafts and many claim that it to be used for existing hair Of scalp.!!!

Hello, I did a HT and I was NW2 and I will probably not lose hair anymore because my father is NW2 and grandpa was only NW1. Guys who are still losing hair and do not have a good donor area they should take pills but if you are lucky like I am you are safe with PRP treatments every 5-6 months.

Man when you will do a honest video and best guide about crown transplant? Everyone missed it and no honest results are deep enough about crown transplant results. I cannot find a place to fix my crown. 3 surgeries and not ideal results. Thank you for your channel

Switching from oral fin to topical fin/min Switching from my 1 mg oral Finasteride to topical finasteride minoxidil combo from Hims just to minimize any chance of sides ( even though i have had no sides). I have noticed that the back of my head, the horseshoe pattern is starting to thin out. Do people apply topical finasteride to that back horseshoe area as well? Or is it only at the top of the scalp on top of your head? I can’t find any video or article mentioning rubbing topical in the back

Wouldn’t it be better to have a series of smaller transplants performed rather than a larger one? I would bet having 1000-1500 grafts per session would have a better outcome than 3000-4000. Why? Staff fatigue comes to mind. It seems like very delicate work that requires a lot of attention to detail.

I don’t get it. Is Finesteride essential or not after a hair transplant? What happens if I have my HT and don’t take Finesteride. Does my grafts fall out or not grow?

As far as I know if you don't take finasteride your results may not be as good. I'm not going to take it and after 6 months if I don't like the results I will take it but nothing bad will happen if you don't, you will just get better results if you do but I'd reccommend doing what I'm doing because if it ends up looking good you wont have to take any medication

Sir i am just 19 years old and suffering from androgenic aloepecia. I am in a deep stress due to hair loss. I am using procapil from last 200 days and nearly all hair regions are growned better except forehead . My forehead hair line is still DAMAGEd ( can't gained significant hairs/ same as BEFORE )even after 7 months of strictly followed treatment. Can't i regain my frontal hair line ? Doctor prescribed me Redensyl and removed procapil from regime . Please tell me what should I do ?

I’m in your same situation and am 19 bro. Been on fin for 5 months and there’s nothing you can do or take that will get your hair back like the transplant. Go for it bro if it weighs on you too much

Get on a call with me man. Or follow my recent IG stories. I was talking about how to get away with a hair transplant and no Finasteride in there. Your strategy needs to be different but it is not totally impossible to get a hair transplant without FIN. mattdominance.com/mentoring-1on1

Hi Mat , I have been on finesteride for almost a year now (1mg). Lately I research that 0.5mg has almost the same out put(effect) as the 1mg pills.also I have one day a week where I don’t take any drugs(thoughts on this)?

For some people, 0.5mg doesn't suppress enough dht. It's not a 1-for-all rule.

One day a week without drugs is nothing as the hairloss doctors said you can even stop for a month or two if need be Also, everyone is different some require more some require less, we are all built differently so it’s just trial and error and see what works for you Whether it’s 0.5 or 1mg it does not matter either- the drug slowly accumulates over time If you take 1mg it builds up quicker and 0.5 will simply catch up but take longer

Then don't keep your hair up. My temples have retreated about a mile and people get surprised when they find out I'm losing hair because I keep them messy. It's really not that huge of a deal. Having hair is much more important than styling them.

Hi, starting my fin and min journey soon. I got fin 1mg and Kirkland 5% min. Is fin 1mg every other day or daily. Can I split fin 1mg and take 0.5mg daily And min 2 times a day?

You can either take finasteride everyday or 3 times a week seems to be what people usually do. I personally take 1 mg a day, no side effects. You can also get away with minoxidil 1 time a day at a 5% concentration, but I personally use it 2 times a day morning and night.

It depends on the severity of your hair loss. If it's aggressive, then definitely use 1mg daily; if not, then 0.5mg.

I'm 3 years in and took no fin (no supplements or meds at all). Good diet, limit alcohol - workout 5 days per week (sprints, boxing, weights). My results are amazing (they were great after 4-5 months). And full density by 10 months. However I did get both my front and crown filled in. If I didn't get my crown done, I guess I'd need a 2nd transplant. So it all depends on where u are and ur future hair loss patterns. But 3 years on I still look as good as I did 6 months post op.

@@letsgethairAren't they supposed to be hair that are resistant to DHT? If DHT couldn't affect them when on the back of the head, there's no reason it should affect them on front. Also, if the hairloss is rapid, one could wait until most hair falls out and then have the transplant. It's weird to have a transplant immediately after your temples have receded a bit.

I think Minoxidil 5% twice daily will be good for your hair. And after the baby you can try microdosing finasteride.(0.25 or 0.5 daily or even every other day)

try to reduce the dose, and go off finasteride if you having baby, l would strongly advise you to watch hairlossshow on youtube they are real doctors and l remember they mentioned how long you need to go off fina to have baby then go back with little dose as well if you have sides, go watch it trust me because without fina you cant challenge hairloss unless your lucky and genetically you dont go further bald

I’m 24. Is finasteride worth trying? I don’t like what I’m reading about side effects. My dick is more important than my hair to me. Is regrowing the temples possible? I’m about a Norwood 2.5 with no crown balding, maybe slightly thinner hair than my teens but it’s still pretty thick. I only have complete hair loss at the temples. Crown balding doesn’t run in my family we just get these very high temples. My dad is 58 and has all his crown hair, just lost a lot of frontal hair.

As a 29 year old who started finasteride over 8 months ago, I would say it is definitely worth trying. In my case, it completely stopped any further hairloss, which is why I should have started earlier as I was already a NW4 when I started with noticable thinning in the front and on the crown. Don’t wait too long like I did only because you’re afraid of some very rare and REVERSIBLE side effects, which I didn’t experience even on 1mg a day btw.

I can only speak about my own experience. I wish at 24 I had of started finasteride. I took it at 28 with alot of damage done. I still take it at 32 with no sides whats so ever and minimal progression of my hair loss.

if his donor area is fully dht resistant and good enough for a second or even third operation there is no problem at all even without fin

@@Bartholome3101 well yes I agree, although I don't know how old he is. but let's say he's in his late 20's early 30's then NW5 is already a lot, that's probably true. that's why i said "if". let's hope for the best for him. I myself have been lucky, 33 years as about norwood 3 and in my family all go over to NW 5 but no one loses their sides or temple points in my family all have strong donors even in their 70's and even 80's. so the outcome of my HT has never really worsened even after years and i have never taken fin

Hello! I live in Sweden and did a HT at Akacia medical about a year ago now. My experience is that they are a clinic which focuses more on volume than quality. They fly in the technicians for about 10 days a month and during that time they do 2 patients/day (I was the second patient the day i did it and had 3500 grafts done). As you said in the video temporal naturalness is definitely not their strong side as one side of my temples is very unnatural and the other side is decent but not good. But the most alarming thing with the clinic is that they lie to patients about the hairloss medication. On their website they have a column about finasteride which seems kinda neutral in stance but when you ask them in person they will always tell you that you don't need finasteride, instead they will tell you to come in twice a year and get prp which he says will stopp further hairloss. I also asked after the transplant if they could supply me with a prescription for finasteride and they told me that finasteride is on backorder all over the world right now (wtf?) and that i didn't need it anyway. Got a prescription a couple a days later from a online doctor anyways and to no surprise it was readily available. So that to me tells you a bit about their moral...

omg same happened to me, my doctors said l need to take fina only 1 year not more, when l told them whats the point then they would try to avoid my question or tell me that l cant be on fina any longer, such lies wont cut to me but l cannot imagine how many patients they fooled already. l mean why would they want you to take fina? if you dont take fina and you have further hair loss then you go again for another hair transplant which is money to them, you see? and so many ppl get fooled by this

I hope you don't consider him mainly because Rakitic went there a couple of days ago and had a consult LOL. I still see highly technician-based practice, with questionable donor area management, doubles in the hairlines still (this is their biggest drawback in my opinion). Even if the doc does the incisions himself, it won't be such a great job if techs place multiples in the first row of the hairline ...Dr. Cinik seems like a nice and honest guy after I talked to him but for me, there is nothing really special about this clinic so far. Maybe they will improve over time.

If you do it in this age, then finasteride is necessary. Hairfall starts to stabilize at 30-35, so you should better endure for 6-7 more years with a buzz. By then, if you have lost most your hair on top, you have the bonus of not needing finasteride to keep you original hair alive. Finasteride is needed only in those cases when your original hair make up for a decent percentage of your total hair.
