Mint is a very determined plant! I’ve planted it in pots before, then sunk the pots partially in the ground and it’s grown down and out through the drainage holes!

I love cutting mint and adding to coffee pot with water. It makes a great cup of tea; hot or cold. Store tea in container in refrigerator.

The same with oregano! My friends sister maintained a beautiful garden but when she moved out it was neglected. The oregano took over the whole backyard and we had to get a rototiller to get rid of it!

Yes! When I was growing up, I used to wander our 40 acres every day in summer, and pick the mint growing beside our spring! It just grew there wild! It tasted so good! There was gobs of it; and cows grazing and walking all over it didn't keep it from growing and spreading, for sure!😂 HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, JINNE, AND EVERYONE!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Excellent advice Jinne, Mint will completely take over, it sends out runners, every which way. I have Lemon balm & Mint in their own 12 inch pots, but always take cuttings, & root them in water, along with Rosemary & Basil. I just give away the new plants, as I only have a Balcony, & not enough space for only having Mint. Lol. TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤️🙂🐶

😅 So much fun to go play in the dirt! I had to get a couple little hand brushes if I hope to have nails clean enough for town! I have gloves, but don't use them except for fencing & poison ivy removal! I can feel when the garden mix is at the consistency I want so much better with bare skin! We have a native mint that took over our place before we first bought the house & property 23 years ago. The place had been unlived in for 4-6 years, just bush hogged twice a year. That tropical bush mint was 4-5 ft tall & a solid mass over most of the yards. In the pastures we had Dewberry tangles 4 ft tall, 60-80 ft wide & 200 ft long. Mowing was a lot of fun! All the ligostrum, wild privet & dewberries made getting a few goats imperative. The first year, my friend brought over her weanling doelings & 1 matriarch to teach them what was safe to eat. By the next year I had 3 goats of my own & would grow out my friend's doelings for several months. Everything in Florida goes full on jungle mode most of the year, so having something that will keep all that growth in check & keep fences clear is a big plus. Blessings from NW Florida

Hi Jinne! I made a pantry chicken meal for dinner tonight. Chicken that I canned and some veggies from Thrive Life And noodles. I used Thrive Life Veloute for the sauce. My husband actually said that it was good twice!

We have been battling perilla for a few years. We grew one plant one time. We don't get sustained cold and haven't had snow in a decade. It's the only thing that I can think of that might have killed it. We are hoping that this year maybe 🤞
