This was my wife's and my favorite carol. We saw the TSO's Christmas concert three years in a row. Well...she passed this year, but I still have our memories but can't make it through this without crying. I miss her.

One of my wife’s favs too. I lost her 6 years ago to cancer. My condolences to you. My hope and prayer is that she knew, and you know, the God in Heaven, that created each of us, && His Son, Jesus Christ, who was & is, the promised Messiah and Savior of mankind. If you don’t, just ask him to reveal himself, and then find a good Bible believing church. Meanwhile, hang in there, find others who have lost their spouse ( empathetic friends ), and don’t ignore your grief. Crying is Gods gift to us, allowing us to process out our grief, pain, and loss. Please forgive me for this long reply! I just deeply understand your pain. Music is also a gift. Absorb the beauty of it deeply. And I will pray that you will still have a Merry Christmas!

Music is tough! But eventually it turns into a warm comfort. Holidays are especially tough, and my husband has been gone 22 years, December 14th. Your heartbreak never goes away, but it does get better❣️ Treat yourself through hard days!

One of the last recordings I have of my late wife was Christmas Eve 2019, this song was playing on tv and my wife’s voice called out to our daughter from our bedroom to tell her she had a present for her. Not just a Christmas song to me, it’s something I listen to almost every day and love it. Love to everyone that has an empty place in their hearts this Christmas.

There isn't another song on this earth that sounds so beautiful & relaxing to me than this one. This is a masterpiece! The perfect combo of the childrens choir, the soft piano, & violins. It makes me cry sometimes but it's a good cry. It's difficult to explain.

I understand how you feel! It takes a long time to integrate the absence of someone who has always been in our life. I'm so pleased for you and your mom that you were able to cherish a close bond. The grief you feel now is a hard price; try to always remember it is a measure of the deep love you shared. Take it one day at a time... you are expressing your grief with clarity and courage!

I listen to this every Christmas with gratitude. Pachelbel's Canon was already one of the most beautiful songs ever created. Adding these precious, angelic vocals with meaningful lyrics takes it to the top of most beautiful song ever. Every time I listen to it I am moved to tears and no matter what is happening, I feel connection and inspiration. Simply angelic ❤ Merry Christmas!

This was on the radio the last time I saw my father alive. Christmas...It was night time, and snowing hard. A street lamp lit up his car warming up. Something told me to hug him twice before we headed home that night. He died three weeks later. I always have to pull over when driving late November .....when it comes into rotation on the airwaves- Can't see thru my tears to drive. This happened twenty years ago , but still hits me hard every year. Yet, I love this song. It is Beautiful. Strange how a song can mean one thing to one person, and something polar opposite for another.

Wow! I am a so sorry for your loss! This song means a lot to me also, not for the same reason but my mother was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer. She always encouraged my love for Christmas, it’s gonna destroy me when she gets called home.

My Mom is still doing well at 81 years old. Though it's going to be as an arrow piercing my heart when she goes home with the Lord. I'm so not looking forward to that

Bernie, yes, losing somebody very dear to us is hard. That empty space stays with us for a long time. I personally don't ask God "Why did you take my parents away from me?", because I know that they are in a better place. I look at the stage here, very white and sparkly. Since my parents were strong Christians, now they are enjoying their time in Heaven.

I"m Truely Sorry for you loss, I know how it feels to someone very special and close. I was engaged when I lost my other half as well. I will miss her so very much. It's hard to move on, but, we must for they would not wan t us do that. Best we can do, is never forget them and try to love someone as much as we loved them. I know it's hard, I have done so myself. But, perhaps we should or at least, I should, but, honestly, I don't want too. (Sigh) But, perhaps we might find someone just like the one we lost. Won't know til we try.

Such a Beautiful Song. The inventor of the Trans Siberian orchestra just passed away recently. He was in his sixties. These are his angels singing to him in heaven.
