I stayed in Trapani for 3 months for work and lived about 1 min walk from the Mercado de pesca. This has brought back so many good memories and experiences. The streets that you have walked are packed with people at night. Just watching this you have captured the essence of Trapani and the echoes of people talking from the buildings. Amazing !

Fresh from a short break in Trapani, I so much enjoyed this refresher of those lovely places. Also: you can't even imagine how much I appreciate your resistance to the temptation to add some synthesizer garbage as background music. Footsteps and the sounds of the street - that's the correct and sufficient soundtrack 👍👍👍.

Hey, glad you're enjoying the format of the videos. Trapani was one of my favorite places I went to in Sicily. I liked that it was narrow with beaches on one side, boats on the other and a historic center in between.

ARGH! I just came to the walking map... and he (you) missed Via Spalti, where they have a nice (enough) large park and the best panini in all of Italy!!!! (Stuzzichello). I lived in Trapani when my son was a toddler for an entire year.... BEST memories ever!!!

That large park was closed while I was there. I actually started the walk there at the statue in the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele but I didn't think it was a stong enough opening so I started the video further down the waterfront instead. Hope you enjoy the rest of the video though. :)

I pictured Sicily as very busy, don't hear much about it... I didn't get to finish the tour yet...but it seems very integral to the Mediterranean trade...even today...Amazing really!

Thanks for another great video. I noticed it was almost a complete shutdown of the city. It was at the beginning of the pandemic, you don't see a lot of people around. The architecture is very beautiful and the streets are wide.

1:31 if you walk all lungomare Dante Alighieri we all laugh at how many surprises there are in this city. There is also a cemetery near the sea with a lot of garbage and there is also still a bunker from World War II. In this city there is not even gas and water for toilets. I recommend that you take a full tour to get you a lot of laughs.

Also lots of precious spots nearby such as Erice, S.Vito's bay, Zingaro natural reserve, Scopello ruins and bay, phoenician ruins at Mozia, Mazara and Marsala city centres, inner countryside, Segesta and Selinunte greek temples, Favignana island and archipelago. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 not enough? all this at max 1 hr car drive or ferry !

Laden's left, he noticed a group of people moving northward. I knew next to nothing about Sicily until this walkabout tour of Trapani. It reminds me, the beach areas that is, of small towns on the central coast of California. A first, I have never seen cactus growing 15 feet from high tide. The city is clean, the people nicely dressed and the fish are fresh, one still flipping next to the price sign. Middle of the pandemic, most people were not wearing masks. Fine wth me!
