The local emergency ministry joined the orca’s in the cold water to push aside ice floats to make room for the mammals to move. During this remarkable rescue three of the orca’s, one a calf, were able to swim out into the open sea. Rescuer’s had to wait for higher tides before the fourth orca was able to swim free.
