We really are in a trap meta. Kind of crazy. Lab and Traptrix bringing some life to control decks that utilize traps.

That’s a fair point. I went back and forth on it until right before recording, but went with time spice instead. It’s so hard, cause I’d love to ply all of them, but only ever draw max 1, but that’s where we have to make the tough decisions:]

Yeah I think the new trap is one of the strongest it's technically a targetable pop because what deck doesn't special summon other then flunder, also bottomless hits flunder and those weird decks that tribute stuff. I like time space but at the same time bottomless is more versatile..special fenrir..activate floodgate...normal unicorn that time space is dead but bottomless can hit the uni..also I think sky prison or dark hole should be mained in traptrix because playing into established boards was always traptrix's biggest weakness. Don't be afraid to increase your deck size with traptrix either most of their combos are 1 card combos

Its a specific counter but in other situation is a dead card so is not played

I’ve talked to a couple people say droll is pretty strong vs kash. If they start with terra, field spell, or prosp, they do almost nothing with their turn🤔 Gozen also very strong vs kash. My gripes with lord have been that it protects from duster/LS, but evenly is the card in every single main/side right now and isn’t protecting us from that

@@JustNutzProd I agree about droll, but in that case you should play it at 2 at least no? I mean only 1 droll is not enough if you plan to counter Kashtira efficiently. Gozen is strong, I just don't like floodgates (same thing in labrynth, i don't play skil drain lol). About evenly... Well this card is a real issue ahah. Maining judgment may be an option... I think there’s a possibility a small lab engine can work in a bunch of normal trap based decks. Is it optimal? Prolly not, but it’s still solid & based:]

Chain hole overall felt a little more niche than most of the trap holes, still a cool interesting card though

@@JustNutzProd Yea I love the handloop-ish effect and I see that it can be kinda niche but it actually comes up more often than you think i realized

It’s “playable” for sure, but it loses its overall potency when holeutea is triggering sera more often anyway. It’s a fine extender. Not thinking it’s aweful, but it’s worse going second, and I’d rather just put more defensive cards for going second cause that’s what the deck struggles with more overall. Going first the decks pretty potent:]

is dogmatika even needed for traptrix anymore? how do you make hyperyton...

Parallel isnt even needed anymore. It's worse now than it ever was.

I almost think shade is just so redundant now. The deck gets holeutea so consistently now, that shade isn’t doing enough anymore. I guess it’s another trap to pitch off holetea if you have access to both, but I’d rather see a potential utility card in most scenarios overall🤔 Not 100% decided on exceed either. Nib is just pretty popular this format, so extra potency vs that, plus it’s another 2 body extender🤷🏼‍♂️

I don't know yet haven't tested but summoning raffles with the parallel exceed and redder with the shade or holetea is pretty good and having the shade in there just boosts the consistency of that happening. But after testing I will know more of course.

Not 3, but 2 for sure. Even though floodgate is the best one vs kash, almost every other one except gravediggers is still solid vs them. 2-3 removals stops their turn regardless

Like I said in the vid: droll was just the 40th card. I didn’t love droll as much as the other defensive cards in the deck. Also I don’t wanna play more than the 5 trap holes I have currently. Might end up cutting one to play a second floodgate trap hole at some point, but I don’t wanna play too many since they’re not very good going second often🤔

@@JustNutzProd if you’re running 3 holeutea like in your build, more traps isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Did u see the structure deck.. list? It comes with staples. Ash, evenly,raigeki, feather duster its very goood.

You're pretty much set with just 3 structure decks

Pretty much the only thing to get not in the structure deck is 3 Parallel eXceed, and some generic rank 4s for the extra.

@@kelvinle8662 The bystials alone cost more than 5 structure decks. Zeus is 200BRL. Cards are way too expensive in SA.

Na real, a maioria dos cards que você *precisa* fora do estrutural são bem baratos, dando uma pesquisada rápida no myp cards: Dragão tornado - 0,40 Habitante do abismo 1,50 Ladrão do templo refletor - 0,50 Hordeum Maligno Cavaleiro Exciton - 12,00 (ele é o "zeus barato", não é realmente necessario, mas é bacana) vai ficar faltando só o bagooska, ele era 3 reais, mas aumentou para um diabo e atualmente ta 18+, a impermanência também é outra cara que "não tem solução", mas assim, no geral da para montar um deck bem forte e barato, tem gente ai topando só com estrutural puro, sem acrescentar nada.

It takes too much space in the deck + Trap Trick forces you to activate only 1 trap for the rest of the turn which can be awkward at times, the card is more useful paired with cards designed to have a strong impact such as Dim Barrier, Metaverse, Weight Measuring or EEV rather than with Trap Holes. Also your Holes are fine at 1 since you can get them easily thanks to Myrmeleo and Rafflesia.

No nib. I actually had an aweful experience with nib this past week. Card was doodoo poopoo stinky. Was dead in 3 straight rounds against branded, spright, & kash & I was like “wow why am I playing this if arguably all 4 of the best decks (including lab) are not caring” …so I’m off it rn.
