I really enjoyed this one at GenCon. I really like that you have a lot more control over your rolls between the extremely common Nanners and Blammo cards. The game is quick and light enough that the otherwise negative 'take that' elements are a lot less impactful. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to fill out the filler portions of their game collection.

Great explanation! I have one question ! If you want to use feesh or shiny , to get one card from the dump pile or another’s player stash, when can I do that ?before drawing the dice? When my turn starts? Later?

I have a single con, and a mild one at that: I think the card backs could have been a little less busy. The company name, the game title and a huge picture is really too much and too distracting. Otherwise, I find this a really nice and fun game.

Well, I definitely made a mistake getting this game. No way it's simple enough to explain to my very sharp 8 yo niece this weekend, and she's at the low end of the age range recommended for the game. I have to fairly easily absorb it so that I can then walk the kids through. This one just has too much "this means this, but you can do this or that, and in this case you can also do this." Their mother has a tendency to dumb down all games regardless of the kids' competencies. Picture "Chutes and Ladders" where you don't count chutes, and "Candyland" without the puddles or moving backward when you draw certain candy cards. So, if I can figure the game out, talk the kids through it and demonstrate that they can play it by the actual rules, they're better off. I normally watch reviews before purchase but kind of found myself up against a time elements because of my procrastination. Thank goodness I didn't open it and kept the receipt.

I know this is 2 years ago but I just bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 8yr old son and he is obsessed with playing now. He caught on after about 2 rounds of play. He pushes his luck a little bit too much but he knows what he is doing and does some pretty advanced stuff that I thought he would have overlooked. Pulling plays off that I had not even tried yet since we are both new at the game. Playing pizzas and double stealing from me is his favorite play...was shocked when he was doing that to me. Sounds like your niece is even older now so the game should be even easier at this time. Just figured I would comment so others don't shy away with kids this age...I wouldn't underestimate them lol.

@@deshan79Hi. I appreciate you're posting this reply. Since we all get older, I would have just kept the game and waited til my kids got a little older if I were that dad. I picked up this game at Kohls yesterday for $7. I thought it was worth trying fir that price. And, I enjoy Gamewright games.
