Trash Taste changed the perception of what "anime fans" are, from "Nerds solely obsessed with anime" to "nerds who just happen to like anime" and this trajectory ride the waves of covid as well as the fact that anime become something more mainstream than ever.

Fun video bro. My favorite moments on Trash Taste are their conversations on YouTubing, content creation and their musings on being internet personalities. What they have to say on the subject is well articulated and thought provoking.

TRASH TASTE IS THE MOST FIRE PODCAST ON THE INTERNET 🔥🔥🔥 AND LETS GO OVER 2.5K VIEWS🔥🔥 Dawg you keep making videos like these and I GUARANTEE you’ll surpass 500 subs by the end of year. The editing was so clean and you kept the video concise yet it hit all the main points. Seriously don’t know why YT algorithm isn’t pushing this channel more. I’m rooting for you bro! Can’t wait to see the growth of this channel!

Same like as much as I love Anime and Manga there's really only so much you can do with the genre and even I'm finding that out really early on (that's why im including games and other media to my videos) but not just that Japan and anime mix very well most people who are into one usually also are into the other so it works out very nicley

I love trash taste but sometimes they do have really bad/trashy takes on anime and current anime. Joey has given up on anime, Gigguk watch all the anime but flip flop his opinion on them and Connor only takes about Jojo so much and that's it. But only Gigguk still does anime content while others have left it.
@07Remy
@07Remy 14 күн бұрын
The reason they left is mostly because the anime content creation scene doesn't bring in cash sadly most due to constant copyright and it being hard to keep up with new manga and anime Connor and Joey have both found a way to evolve past anime into something different which has also helped a lot of other anime creators evolve there contents and do youtube full time finally

I think it's also just a symptom of being an anime fan whose entering adulthood. I like anime, but I work full time now. I can watch like one or two shows a season while still meeting all my obligations. I like watching content by creators whose experiences I can actually relate to, being adults who also have their own obligations.

That's the whole point of this video they all started off making anime content and talking about it on trash taste the slowly evolved and moved away from it expanding out and being able to explore new topics and contents sadly anime videos just doesn't bring in the views as much as other content and anime burn out gets real pretty quickly when reviewing multiple anime a month this video was Purley to show how trash taste created a base for anime youtube and then carved a path for all us anime youtubers to evolve outwards and explore more content outside of anime

By being able to expand out wards its sad but anime content doesn't do very well on KZfaq despite animes rise to main stream anime content very rarely does very well for a few factors but the main one being copyright trash taste was able to the help the anime youtube community expand out and evolve rather than die out and while sure the mostly make content besides anime a lot of it has to to do with Japan and most people who are into anime are also into Japan

@muffinzetta3670 well of course but it's also helping other anime youtubers stay relevant like I said before anime youtube doesn't make money due to the amount of copyright strikes channels get and genuinely they just don't bring in as many views as other channels making videos about other subjects trash taste opened up a path for other anime youtubers to also expand content rather than dying off
@RogerSmith2004
@RogerSmith2004 17 күн бұрын
I don't think Trash Taste did much of anything for the anime scene whatsoever. The podcast was basically funded by GeeXPlus, a talent agency owned by Kadokawa, a multi-billion dollar company that has a huge pull on the anime industry, as well as the other media mix (manga, light novels, etc). They took KZfaqrs that were decently well known and flew them out to Japan. It's basically all corporate marketing. A lot of the industry connections they brought onto the show were in coordination with Kadokawa, not because they were trying to inform an audience, but rather to sell a product. Heck, a lot of the podcast stuff is nothing new, and many KZfaqrs have done this kind of format, such as Logan Paul and H3H3. In the anime scene it's nothing new, Gigguk was part of Podtaku years before this, and then after that the short lived, Anime no Yume podcast. Neither of which did as well, simply because they didn't have the kind of corporate backing. There was also a podcast like Anime World Order which has been around since like 2005, or even something like ANNCast has been around much longer. I also don't think they are doing anything to show respect to the Anime KZfaq scene. One of their earlier podcasts had a part where they essentially put down a lot of anime KZfaqrs saying that "they only make videos to impress each other, not for other people" while also showing they don't pay attention to most of the scene, and trying to act like people such as Scamboli were "doing something different" when in reality, there are a lot of different factors that make a channel successful, and the algorithm can be very fickle. They don't really care to invite on almost any anime KZfaqrs, I guess arguably someone like Super Eyepatch Wolf would probably come closest (though he barely covers anime anymore), and them name dropping Shaybs' channel on one of the episodes (Mother's Basement could end up going on in the future, so perhaps there). Most of the time it's just them playing buddy buddy with other successful KZfaqrs and streamers, as well as whoever Kadokawa pulls on to promote something. I'm not saying they have to invite 50 subscriber channels or anything, but it feels like they don't really show much love to the community that helped make them successful in the first place. If you want to argue that they put in the work to build their initial channels, I can't fully disagree with that, and if the podcast gets you through a tough day or whatever, I can't fault you. But Trash Taste is 100% a means for Kadokawa to further make money and market their products to an overseas audience.

Yeah. Old anitube is dead. Im not sure if its a good or bad thing. It was pretty toxic at times, but also fun. Is it because Trash Taste or Covid or rise of vtubers or just people getting old, that I don´t know. There are few OG:s left, doing their own thing, but that anime community, which was there five years ago, is no more.

This video sucks, you titled it Trash Taste Changed the anime community, you didn't say HOW. There was no comparison of the community before, and after trash taste. Please either re title the video to be more accurate to the content you've created. For example "What is Trash Taste". It's also even difficult to call Trash Taste an anime prodcast or a big force in the anime community, they don't talk about Anime, except like once every 20 episodes. The podcast is Anime Culture Adjacent at best.
@07Remy
@07Remy 17 күн бұрын
I did literally talk about how the changed the community around the 3 minute mark by explaining how creating trash taste opened up the more options for creativity in the content creation scene for anime youtube being able to expand out and make content beyond anime (which doesn't do very well sadly on KZfaq hence there switch up) they created a path for anime youtubers to advance while leaving behind there legacies
