7000 health block attached to a 500 health block and he beats away at the metal key box, never change Josh you gallah. Edit: also can confirm the key box drops after destroying the block behind it and it did not close and lock the hatch.

@@snootchie3341 Now in game myself and in that same POI. The hatch has sloped roof pieces surrounding it so should need more than just the ladder but yes it could be dropped.

I think the nerd outfit is something you leave at base. You get your adventuring gear, take all your books home, slap on your studying clothes and read everything. 28:17 "Why did they nerf that?" Because they REALLY want to live up to their new name The Nofun Pimps.

I'd argue with that. :P It's better to bring it along if only in your inventory, because the one inventory slot it takes up will free up all the inventory slots you'd use up for books. And then as soon as you get vehicles, it's still best to keep it on your vehicle than at base for the same reason on top of not taking up a slot in your base inventory most of the time. EDIT: Unless you're in multiplayer and have only one nerd outfit. In which case, then I'd say home is the way to go.

@@JaWoodle I can see that. it just seems more cumbersome to (theoretically) have to carry a few sets of armour around with you and swap what you're wearing depending on the situation. I think most people are just gonna weed out a meta combo and run that all the time.

You're crazy man, the trailer park is a great POI! Tons of mailboxes, bookshelves, and usually a lot of ammo. Also, tons of kitchen cabinets for food, cooking magazines, and early game cooking pot/grill.

T1 Iron crossbow used to unlock with T5 Wooden bow, but now you get the T6 Wooden bow so the T1 Crossbow unlocks then

@@JaWoodle i wish I was. When you accept the quest in the upper right look at the + trader value” of each quest. Tier 3 quests are + 3 but a T3 infested is only + 2 because it’s technically a T2 POI.

HAve to admit, not really sold on the new armour mechanics. Feels like it would have been better to have classes or something. Otherwise it seems like you need a set of armour for fighting, for looting, for reading books, for mining, for cutting trees and for selling. Winds up being too much hassle and just rolling with mismatched set and maybe an extra hat.

@josh I've gotten in the habit of leaving the nerdy outfit in my vehicle like gas and repair kits. That way I can collect books as I go through a raid and if I need to pop out and slap on the outfit to get the bonus to clear out inventory.

There is a new patch that TFP put out, build 312 and it has the purple hair color and the dire wolf has a new look and it doesn't cause problems with the save that you have, at least from what I have seen.

So I leave my nerdy chest covers in my vehicle and carry all magazines outside to just read them at once. Not as big a hassle as doing it at the base but still solid.

I've always preferred the cross-bow. You can put a scope on it, and while you can shoot it poorly, you'll never let loose a soft shot that tickles a zombie.

If so, I wish they'd swap the 44 revolver to double vulture to lever action progression into the still wildly OP strength tree and move shotguns to the ridiculously underpowered in the early game intelligence tree to dump the fire the turret as gun nonsense and make sure all the stats have a proper ranged option from day one. Just my two cents

JaWoodle, you should look at the Preacher body armor. It gives damage resistance to all zombies. It is what I currently main. I have the nerd armor in my vehicle that I switch into when I read books, but I main Preacher armor and Scavenger hat. My Build: Scavenger Hat, Preacher Outfit, Preacher Gloves, and Commando Boots What I keep on me in my Vehicle or Inventory: Rogue Hood (for looting), Ranger Hat (For Buying AND Selling), Nerd Outfit (For Magazines) My Scavenger Hat and Rogue Hood have the Treasure Hunter's Mod (I have 2 of them) which gives +10% EXP gain and +5 Loot Stage. My Ranger Hat has the Cigar. I'm using Banded Armor Plating + Pocket Mods in all of my actual combat armor.

TFP also patched the Infestation crate. If you break it down before taking out the loot, you lose it.

18:20 ish you talked about taking books home to read with the nerdy outfit on, did you ever think of just leaving one in your inventory like you used to with the looting/nerdy glasses? Do all your killing with one outfit, do your looting and then put on the nerdy outfit to read all the books you find?

I think the same thing happens with the handles that turn off the flame jet puzzles. When you destroy the handle the flame jet comes back on. (Not sure about v1.0)

If I can give you any advice that could help you is that you check the mods for tools/weapons/armor you can craft, if you lack steel remember that streetlights give steel when salvaged

You need the ranger outfit head piece it offers a 20 percent towards selling and bartering at level 6. And The scavenger outfit chest piece offers plus 10 slots for backpack 🎒 at level 6. Assassin's gloves offers 20 percent attack speed at level 6 for knife and pistol 🔫. Biker boots offers 20 percent at level 6 for increasing Stam and reducing how much you use with knife 🔪.

You just use the NErd Armor while reading the magazines. No reason what so ever to use it constantly. There are so many aromors with more day to day usable perks than chance for extra points

Just keep the nerdy armor on you are it takes only one slot and lets you clear out the magazines that take up lots of slots.

I've been finding a lot of toilet pistols and knives. I've got 1 point into looting and I'm running the rogue hat for better loot and spec'ed into knives and pistols. Maybe having the loot bonus boosts the chance of the rare stuff appearing.

There a mod that lets you open and close doors that are "locked open" freely. But dude is waiting for stable to put it out for 1.0. It's called "Unlock Open Doors" on Nexus.

I used to be terrified of dogs in this game. ....Now, I'm still terrified of the dogs, but I'm also glad when I come across one. Dogs = rotten flesh = More Farm Plot blocks. :D

During my game, wandering hordes have dropped loot bags. Not a lot but still 1 or 2 bags every other horde. So the fact you don't get any is weird.

About that scope picture... It is correct. You close the eye that isn't looking through. Your field of vision usually isn't perfect so you generally get a large circle field of view but also the gray/black ass end of the scope fills your vision. If eye relief isn't proper, you get a smaller circle. It is quite realistic.

it's not accurate. you don't put the scope up to your eye (unless you want to crack your eye socket), so you would still have peripheral vision.

Umm, learn to shoot with both eyes open? Before I got out of the Army I could shoot 40/40 with both eyes open just fine. Being able to shoot with your eyes open is a huge life saver cause you don't get as much tunnel vision. Also you don't stick your eye on the scope, you are usually a few inches back, meaning that "black" would just be the area around the scope.

You are thinking of the binoculars that are meant to be held right up to your eyeball. If you shot an actual gun that wasn't 'recoiless' with a scope up to your eye you'd need a new eye socket.

Thought I'd throw a random question out there. I've been saving treasure maps. I was thinking about reading them at my base in the forest biome. Then it occured to me, does the biome affect the loot from the treasure map? Desert is a full skull more difficult than the forest, would a treasure map in the desert have better loot? I don't want to go digging for treasure in the wasteland but the snow wouldn't be too annoying. Anyone know?

anyone know? im at bedrock two blocks high.. straight down ... ive abou a 25 by 25 cleared getting iron.. screamers spawned right at bed rock with me... btw at my game stage they are rad screamers now lol ugh..
