You can buy less expensive one. You don’t have to buy the brand name. This works. I have ptsd and often disassociate. I hop on and it helps me to come back and be present. Don’t be so quick to judge If you don’t have lived experience.

Right on the mark! To generate joy, jump for joy. The weightlessness, buoyancy and soothing rhythm changes everything right away. If you can not afford or use one, pretend (by leaving feet on the ground, stand (or sit in chair) and push into the ground - rock and roll with it. All the better to healing sounds/music and or a video with positive affirmations etc. You may be surprised how powerful and helpful it is. It's free, freedom.

What are your thoughts on counseling people while rebounding on the Bellicon? Could this be a way of redirecting the energy that causes a person to tense and become ridged and guarded out of emotion during the counseling session since rebounding tends to force a person to relax and focus their energy into actively rebounding?

Wait, healing trauma isn't about re-living it? I've had one of Dr. Levine's books for yrs (Waking the Tiger) and one of the things I remember from that book is the example of the animals re-enacting their traumatic experience so as to heal it. So you're saying that's no longer the thing to do? Thing is, my life has been all about subconsciously re-creating those experiences, gravitating to ppl who are going to once again cut into that unhealed wound. And with each experience, my question is always, what the hell is it I'm supposed to do differently to keep this from manifesting yet again? Seems to me if the subconscious mind is re-creating the trauma, then that is the path to healing? I like the idea of using the rebounder (which I've used in the past), and I know it's a good thing. But this title indicates that you're specifically speaking of this brand of rebounder; surely other rebounders will have the same positive effects. (edit) In re-watching, I see the dr. is speaking of the elastic aspect of the bellicon rebounder. There are others with this, one is "Leaps and Rebounders," which I think is less expensive than this one.

I can see how thats confusing. I havent read his books but the way you describe the situation it sounds like he's saying two different things. I hope you dont mind me adding what helped me, I've been doing The Amazing Liver & Galbladder Flush by Andreas Moritz. It detoxes the body of the liver stones- physical manifestations of unresolved emotions and trapped feelings. After about 6 or 7 months the stuff that used to trigger me has no effect on me at all. Also, I read a book called When I Say No I Feel Guilty. It's helpful to speak assertively. No need to be nasty, people dont respond to being mean but I dont speak up at all they just walk all over me. I read that book- then worked in the food industry. People came at me with all kinds of attutude and none of it phased me. My coworkers commented on how much they enjoy my energy. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best. I know we never met but I love you & I'm rooting for you.

..never having read any of Dr. Levine's book I see that what he says in this video is aligned with what trauma expert Bessel van der Kolk says about the physical approach being very effective, even more than talk therapy and medication. What you write about repeating your trauma over and over again seems to be a very common symptom. I found that Anna Runkle, the CrappyChildhoodFairy, explains these things very well in her videos, and more importantly, she teaches ways to heal. Wishing you all the best 🤗

OK so does a bigger trampoline offer a deeper bounce and as such is it higher from the ground? should I get medium or should I get large for depression and trauma?
@matildarei
@matildarei 3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question.
@SuspiriaX
@SuspiriaX 3 жыл бұрын
I got the large one and am happy that I didn't take a medium. Smaller ones seem less playful, and you can't relax your jump as much because if you wouldn't jump perfectly straight then you would hit the sides. If you have the space and the money then I'd say don't hesitate to size up to get a somewhat better experience. However about the deepness of the jump I think they may be the same because all Bellicons are 13.8" / 35cm high and the bigger ones have more bungees. So no biggy there if you feel like sizing down.

Can i use a rebounder if i have an inguinal hernia? I mean i wear a belt, and i do stretching exercises every day, with no issues whatsoever. Still, i was wondering if it would be safe to use a rebounder.
@belliconusa
@belliconusa 10 ай бұрын
Good question! Yes, We would wear the support and stick to low impact (feet staying on the mat bouncing). And focus on your alignment being in the neutral upright position. If you have any concerns check with your physician.

What a shame what he says are mostly true and excellent but he is obviously been given a script to negate spring rebounders vs bellicon, the famous original NASA experiments was done on spring trampolines. Obviously if you are comparing to Walmart cheap bottom of the range rebounders. Very confusing message & disappointing coming from such a respected trauma doctor.

@@harpert579 Walking uphill is far more intense than a rebounder and it increases your VO2 max which in turn cleanses your lymph system. Rebounding has a negligible effect on your VO2. It's a waste of time and money.
