WHY AM I DONG IT THIS WAY?
A lot of channels do Patreon or KZfaq Memberships at a cost to the viewer which puts a lot of content behind a paywall, meaning it is pay to view, and a large amount of the subscriber base miss out on a lot of content, or the quality of the content available to non members reduces. I don’t like this approach.
My way - EVERY one will get to see ALL content. If you aren’t in a position to donate - you still get to see ALL content and your current experience of the channel will NOT change at all. If you do want to support the channel then you get to decide how I prioritise the videos.

To put this song into context for you Stuart, Jarad Higgins aka Juice Wrld was a very heavy drugs user right from his teens. He was raised by his conservative mum after his father left when he was three. He lost a lot of close friends to drug addiction and a couple to murder. Jarad himself died in the 8th Dec 2019 of a drugs overdose. Juice Wrld had released Demos, EPs and singles from 2015. However, it wasn’t until 2018 when he released his first album. He then had another album released before his death. His third album was only released posthumously in 2020 under the title ‘Legends Never Die’. Two further posthumous albums followed. Jarad is probably best known for his song Lucid Dreams which reached No. 2 in the Hot 100.

Juice WRLD is a very, very deep rabbit hole. In his short time in stardom he literally recorded over 2000 songs and had someone professionally film him throughout his career. I’d listen to the comments to find the songs that apply closer to your channel, but he does have happy and love songs as well. My suggestions are Righteous (arguably is best song), Dark Place, Already Dead, and Bad Energy

@@TherapistReactsOfficialAlso give Long Gone a listen as JuiceWRLD said he made it about his feelings at the time, and there’s a good unreleased song called dark place or also known as “lost in a dark place” and it by far is one of JuiceWRLDs rawest songs, it shows his true emotions he was feeling and I don’t even know why they let him walk out of the studio after recording that.

@@TherapistReactsOfficialIf you are looking for a truly unique Artist, capitol A (much like Ren is an artist) I strongly recommend giving Stromae a chance. He is absolutely huge across the world, Just not so in the US. Even though he sold out Madison Square Garden 3x over and performed on Kimmel, Fallon and Colbert late shows. The only reason you prolly never heard of him is because he sings in French (all his epic (!) Videos Come with CC so no worries there.). His biggest song 'Papaoutai ' (daddywhereareyou) is currently at 997 million (!) views. But you, coming from a therapeutic standpoint, I recommend 'l'enfer' (hell) which tackles depression and suïcidal thoughts. I promise, you will not regret the day you heard Stromae for the first time. As I said, Artist capitol A in every sense of the word.

About the lyric at 8:20 , the girl Juice had been dating at the time he died talked about this song when it released after his death saying: "I used to cry my eyes out to this song before he even passed away because of how personal it [is]. It was about a dream he had while we were in Germany… I was trying to wake him up because he would have jolts and s-t in his dream, and I was like, “Get the f-k up,“ like screaming, and my scream woke him up, but he told me later he never woke up from the dream, and that’s why he made the song"

Juice wrld The Best artist period, in my opinion. Shared a weird way of connecting with people but when you try to understand him as a person through this music it paints a picture. Even though he dealt with drugs and narcotics. He was open to the world to show everyone how is life is going how is dealing with it and the demons dealt with it. As juice passed away when he was 21 as I am also getting close to that age every song listen brings a new meaning to it. I recommend “Already Dead.” I think you would see just how badly Juice was struggling with his mental health and drug addiction. Throughout your Juice WRLD journey, you will see the numbers “999” which was very important to Juice. He says that 666 is “the mark of the beast” and that "999 represents taking whatever ill, whatever bad situation, whatever struggle you’re going through and turning it into something positive to push yourself forward."

You should check out his one hour freestyle he did over Eminem beats on the Tim Westwood radio show. None of it was written either, almost every single one of his songs are freestyled. He never writes any of his songs, that’s how he’s able to make the song on the spot. He has thousands of unreleased songs. He’s even been praised by Eminem. They have a song together called “Godzilla”

So here I am, just finding this series - and I *love* it. I am a huge fan of Juice WRLD, not just for his artistic ability, but sharing his constant battle with addiction and trying to fight it. As a recovering opioid addict (2-years clean now), his music just hits so close to home, that I feel like I’m right there in his brain with him. I can relate all too well to his lyrics, his struggle, his story. “Fighting Demons” is my favorite album by far, because he really focused on his struggles, he went in depth, and was more vulnerable than I had ever heard him be. Being it was released Post-Humous, just really highlights his lyrics throughout the album. I honestly believe that doing an analysis of the entire “Fighting Demons” album would really paint the picture of Juice’s struggles in the best and most open way that he could through his music. If not the entire album, in addition to this song (Burn) and another one you did (Legends), some other great ones were: Already Dead, Doom, and *without a doubt* My Life In A Nutshell (if anything else from this album). Thank you for doing this and sharing your opinions and analysis’ on Juice, he was certainly an artist that was suffering. In my opinion, I believe his failed relationships are the stem of where his pain begins (as in, he may just be the kind who loves too hard, and thinks with his heart - and it doesn’t usually end well in those cases). Add the fact that he was already an addict before he became famous and tried *multiple* times to get clean, but was never able to stay that way. Between unresolved emotional pain he already had, now he has a fan base looking to him, he has a lot more money (and therefore much easier access to drugs, and the means to buy more of those drugs). He also has a song (I believe it’s a leaked track called “USD”), where he literally talks about using his fame to find drugs in a different country through fans - imagine being an addict, with no financial restriction, and that kind of access to drugs. From my perspective, it would feel impossible to stop in that situation. Anyway, sorry for the rant, I’m not sure if you (Stuart) will ever read this, but maybe others will come across my comment and agree/have a response. Thank you again for your videos, and especially this series! You’ve earned a new loyal viewer 😊

Honestly how amazing it is that you were able to breakdown the whole song and pretty much get what he was saying. One thing for the chorus you can see it however but how I think of it is that he says “burn burn burn burn” like everything around him is burning and the water instead of putting out a fire he uses it for pills. Basically he may believe it’s easier for the drugs to help him then to save the world in a sense

@@TherapistReactsOfficial 🤣 most channels only react to the released stuff so they don’t get copyright strikes. Juice has five official albums released two of them being posthumous releases. But if you have a patreon or ever make one tons a channel post the unreleased reactions there.

I’m still quite new to reactions so still working out all the copyright stuff. So the unreleased stuff is copyrighted, and the actual released albums aren’t copyrighted, is that right?

2:28 All of the above and some times for no reasons at all . Things hurt and no one wants to be in pain .Unfortunately drugs are effective at making it go away . If your struggling just know that you can find long term happiness and peace without the band-aid . Wont be easy but it WILL be worth it .✌

I think juices motive w the narcotics other then depression was he felt like he needed them for the music- “if it wasn’t for the pills I wouldn’t be here, but if I keep taking these pills I wont be here. I just told y’all my secret, it’s tearing me to pieces. I really think I need them, I stopped taking the drugs and now the drugs take me.” From another song

When do people stop though, looking back at the tragedy in their life? When do we grit our teeth stand up and go make life what we want? I have had my share of bad things happening to me, some by my poor decisions, others by just fate, but there is good in life too. Too much negativity is not good either but I don’t mean to say that sometimes things should be faced but when do they resolve and we get on with life? I, as mentioned in some earlier comments, have removed some of the things in my life that hurt or are, (I feel), against me. Never turned to drugs, I did alcohol. When it looked as though alcohol was consuming my life instead of pleasuring it, I squashed it and removed it from my life.

for 6:17 I actually believe juice could really let life go, and was capable to do it, he said multiple times he was staying alive for the fans, I think it was all that was taking off from his head the idea to end it all. In fact, right before he died, his last words were ''Love y'all more than life''. I think that way, even tho I could be wrong

for context on the lyrics, he says ' i fell asleep to deep that 1 time, woke up to ur cry girl im fine, but i lied, i had a dream i wasnt gonna wake up this time' his gf said in an interview or live not sure, that she woke up and tried waking juice up, but he wouldnt, it got to the point where she was screaming his name crying, pretty sure she slapped his face to wake him up but he wouldnt, then he woke up, said he was fine but obv he was apparently dreaming he wasnt going to wake up
