Thank you for another great video! You're right about the different moods of each town. That's why I like to look at what the locals are wearing beforehand - chances are, they know the best fabrics and clothes for that environment - and try to find pieces like that from my wardrobe that match. I personally like to use cycling sport shorts under short skirts or dresses. They're made of technical material so they won't feel as hot as cotton shorts and they're handy in avoiding a Marilyn Monroe moment, so to speak. Light colours are also usually the best for tropical environments! Looking forward to the next video, thank you Alyssa!

I would bring a little brooch with a strong fastener to pin the split on the maxi dress at the thigh so you feel more covered in really conservative traditional cultures like Calcutta or Delhi where showing a lot of leg is frowned upon.

Love love your videos! And am so jealous of your extended stay travels! Here's an idea. I would love to see that black maxi dress styled where you bring the neckline up tightening the shoulder straps and wrapping the extra straps around your body (a la Greek Goddess ;) thus shortening the dress to your ankles (so it doesn't drag on those dusty dirty streets), defines your torso, and shows off some beautiful sandals.

Love this video and the recent one on vacation clothing purchases. I’m just finishing packing my suitcase for 6 weeks in Italy and then a week in Belgium in early October. Thank you for reminding us to be true to our long term style aesthetic versus buying vacation and summer trends that are short lived at best!

Great Video!! And I was so happy to see that I applied ALL of the Outfit Formulas during my last vacation to Rio de Janeiro!! The dress with snickers, or the last one with the shorts and a casual T… even the first one but I wore this floral printed flowy pants… It was like going back to 🇧🇷 and remember what I wore during this awesome time!! Love this video. My fav look is #2. Keep helping us find our three words. I took an online test and am Classic, Minimal and my other scores were evenly placed so I need another word and am leaning towards unexpected. I typically add something different to each outfit. I might be undone, edgy, sporty, etc. so UNEXPECTED works so far. Or confused 🙄🤣. At least I know the first two-which I already thought were my first descriptors. Your organized evaluation of each outfit is helping SO much On a different note, I know it’s still summer, but some of us are starting to think about our fall wardrobes. I hope to see some transition outfits in some of your future videos. Thanks again, I am making progress and making my wardrobe more ME

Such a great video - loved the view from your terrace too! My favourite outfit is your long skirt and tight white tank - you look amazing! Double duty long dresses for day and night - cool in the day and keeps your legs warm if temps. drop in the evening.

Great video, thank you for all these ideas! My issue when I travel is that I personally use a lot of SPF and I don't want to spoil my best clothes. When I travel I always use the pieces in my wardrobe that I don't care so much. The result is that I don't feel exactly myself!

Alyssa I really enjoy your style. I am from Melbourne. The style would fit in with one exception - the baseball cap would mark you as an American or Canadian tourist. Not common here unless mixed with hoodies or people with hip hop inspired style.

Yes! Do this for each season! I also put a lot of thought into packing based on my destination. I will literally go to my stylist and say, ok 10 days Turkey…..Istanbul and Mediterranean coast! And we work on the color palette, fabrics that work with the climate, and beach vs city ensemble. Great video! Love your Channel.

Thank you for such an interesting theme. I live in a holiday destination city surrounded by the sea which is hot and humid for months. As much as I love creating outfits with different tops and bottoms I find that the most comfortable outfit in summer is a ....dress! The difficulty is finding breathable fabrics lined with breathable fabrics. I have a beautiful silk/cotton blend lined in polyester!!
