I thought I knew all of that and I kind of did, but very useful to refresh my memory, especially regarding the Safety Tips. A smack in the face or broken finger could quite suddenly make a tame situation much worse. Thnx

Amazing how some people react to a joke!! I have both. A Land Cruiser 76 model and a Defender, so I am not owner-biased. The LC is only better than a LR when you are already stuck - with its rear and front diff locks. Otherwise the permanent 4 wheel drive system of the LR is much better that the LC. But I suppose for anyone never having driven or owned both, they would be ignorant about this. Over 14 years my LR never let me down once even in countless trips throughout Africa, and I have never been stuck. LR is the ultimate. Drive a LC and your are just like every other Tom, Dick and Harry. Drive a LR and you are part of a very special club of over-landers.
